Trimming for vert trees...
So what should i be doing doing as far as trimming is concerned. I just read the topping thread below... So what should we trim while vegging? We would like our final plants to be around 6-8' tall and they will be surrounding 1500w bulbs. What should we do?
Thanks! |

i trim my vertical trees.. same concept as horizontal if the plants get too bushy the back is shaded and pointless imo. i prune or lollippop the bottom foot almost of my 4 foot plants and take a lot off the back. i dont like popcorn and it helps with air circulation.... the pruning should be done right b4 you flip to flower and then about 2 weeks in - take off the little nodes that stretch up near the back.. u can tell the ones that just aren't going to produce squat
ie.. 6 to 8 foot plants will be hard without the right strain. too much of an indica strain and your going to have to veg forever and its going to get way too bushy. stretchy sativa hybrids that require short veg time is the answer imo. id rather spend the time I would be vegging, flowering a sativa
