Even if this is not an Ace strain , i asked the permission to kaiki for creating this thread cuz Ace section seems to be the more adequate place for Landraces lover

I made a report of this landrace on the vibes collective (rip) , i thought it could be interesting for icMagers

I would love to have some opinion , advices, experience about colombian landraces ...i will be more than happy if somebody who have already growed some , could tell me more about the shape of mine, smell....

Those seeds were brought back from a family member of friend , she found those seeds in Marijuana sold by FARC , some guerilleros who abducted a french candidate for the presidential.......

When she found thoses seeds ,she was in the north of Pitalito and in the south of medelin, In CALI ..... near Palmira and Jamundi (do u know those places ? )

So no , Kaiki , i dont know the name of the Line .... if there is an only line cuz seeds were really differents and the smell of plants too, the structure were also not the same



So the germination's rate was not excellent (7/22) but i think it must be something ordinary with these tropical plants brought back from the country, i have to say that some seeds were crushed, that must play against myself, of course i keep these ungermed seeds cuz if i want to germ them in the future, i could do that with the help of gibbeleric acid or others.....

Being a person really olfactory, i recognized some aromas on the 7 columbians: chocolate, lime, citrus, camphor / eucalyptus / mint, hazy, spicy , peanuts and grass / herbaceous with some odours really powerful but also others more weak

The Pheno 6 was really sativa.... but i pointed out that a first tiny branch on the trunk was completely Male !!!!!!!

Did u already see that on this kind of plant , i think i have alreadu seen something like that in reports, is it common ?

So, i chopped her to flo115 but she could go more, i think from clones she will be ready near this time ....

To conclude i am really happy with this grow, it's a real pleasure to grow this plant which explodes more and more , she doesnt stretch a lot which is GOOD in Indoor .... internodes are tight and it makes buds like lollipops .... the trichomisation is awesome for a landrace, i noticed that there is no trichomes on the littles leaves but a HIGH density on the flowers and under the leaves ....

For the smell, it's a mix between spicy/sweet/hazelnut/fruity on the plant, the smell becomes more pungent when you squeeze the dry buds but it has some common sativa smell (dont know if u see what i mean), like celestial temple sativa (peru x ecuador) or some haze special

I forgot to noticed in this post , that the original weed where seed came from smelled the pine/spicy ,at least it was what the family member said..

By the way , i find some big similarities between this plant and some great haze hybrids , is there anyway that the colombian side is dominant in the Haze ..... (i couldnt find better guyz to ask this question ^^) at least , in the Mr Nice Hazy plants , dont know about the Oth...

Oh Yeah , i didnt smoke her yet , i let her cured for 20 dayz before tasting anything... those strains need curing ...

Otherwise, I would love to have opinions from people who have already grown some columbian landraces and what they think about this one ....

Wow, a lot of respect to you for keeping such an unknown strain in your garden. So all the plants hermied, except pheno #2, correct? I can't wait to read your smoke report on her... Did you keep clones, or at least make any seeds? 115 days is long, but respectable if the buds come out with some form like yours did. It looks like you did some training with her, but still the height looks very manageable for indoor growers. Good grow bro

Hard to say as lots of weeds have changed there since I was a kid but for area and yield looks like a possible Corintian. Columbia is a vaste territory where weed is grown in many places. In fact such south area of Cauca, San Agustin, Huila and so can be problematic indeed and they grow there many fields for big productions. Hard to go Could be also variances of Mangobiche or Punto Rojo which use to show different variances for the look of stems and leafes and few leaflets, depending on areas if highland or lowland they show different and temps vary a lot from cold temps max 18ºC to humid and hot equatorial temps... from quick lines to long flowering ones but with same name of lines, so hard for me to know for sure. Sometimes I think as much I try to understand and learn about them, as less I know I think at least nowdays. Seeds can change from one field to another, pollen can be around as well and even local farmers may use all possible seeds, mixed or not and cross them with other local lines for better vigour or grow them in different fields and locations. Weed around can be sold with or without seeds ("con semilla" or "sin semilla") Sometimes is like a puzzle really and I find things changed since last decade.

Corintians seemed to be nice yielders. But I have seen both type of leaves and variables, from darker and longer leaves with more number of leaflets to ones in yor pics whith less leaflets more like Punto Rojo, Mangobiches or Santa Martas... or even blonder plants. In some areas around Corinto maybe you can still find some purple corintians. There were some big yield plants in such area as well, maybe local crosses made with the time and some Corinto could be really tall and bushier plants.

Hermis use to come always with the landraces, dont think Columbians are an exception but you can still be able to select a bit as it happened to you and found better and firmer individuals.

There is a lot of crystal on the flower, as you said. Could be more potent than what it might otherwise appear to be. I am looking forward to your smoke report.

let me show a few variances found here as well, not all flowered finally until the end due intersexual issues but you can see how hard can be from a pic sometimes to say for sure. You can find variances of each of these lines as well and right now in Colombia. Hope it helps. Some friends I know finished some corintians not too long ago, hope they can chime in and show for better how good some corintians can yield.

I was told by Colombians that Mangobiche was "The best Punto Rojo out there, it comes from Corinth, so it also gets called Corinthian" .... but they are not experts, just very keen consumers !

Well, my friends use to differentiate as well local Corinto as its own but is true sometimes is the area which gives the name, but Punto Rojo for sure and Mangobiche grow around there, also Comineras are well know lately or La Negra can grow in south. If related somehow? Dont know. I do have also some seeds labelled like Punto Rojo from Corinto. I think influence of Punto Rojo is much bigger nowdays over there. Corintians I know use to have more fingers per leaf but not always, much more branchy and taller plants with thiner and larger leafes mostly asserrated and very nice yields and colas. As said there can be also purples. Last year had the chance to start some, pity were hermi Mangobiches supposedly smell to mango biche with salt and lemon like they eat it there. I found a touch of inciense also in this particulary line. Corintians can be more fruity sometimes.
