i own a: 125ltr aquarium with many live plants 4corydoras 5gubbies 5amano shrimps 6neon tetras 6other tetras 1culi coach my ph is around 7 i germinated 2 bagseeds in soil and placed em on surface THEY REST ON A PLASTICK SURFACE WITH ONLY THE ROOTS SUBMERSED now they are under the aquarium cfls on the air with their roots in the water th fish get feed a variety of foods, vegetable and meat , 5 different i also supplement liquid aquarium plant food the aq has a good water pump and an airstone when i operate the airstone at daytime, thoeretically it depleted the water of the excess co2 produced by the fish so i dont operate it at all, the only time i should operate it is at night but then i get i dont cause i have to use a different timer etc so do you think it could work?????? ps:i ve never grown hydro only soil organics, harvested bud 3 times |

This will work but not very well. the plants roots are exposed to light and will get algae slowing their growth. The fish might get a taste for fresh roots too.
Still fun to do and you never know you might pull it off.

Imagine if you made an undewater or same level water
or you made a confined space in light terms of the same water level with weed(different stealthy unseable light source) has anybody else thought of that?

Hehe you are baked aren't you. Good to hear!
The concept is called aquaponics and it's been presneted in many formats already. A seperate area for plants suspended in water would be DWC (deep water culture). Here's the top tips for DWC. Pre filter the solids, keep them away from your plants roots. pH 6.2. Everything becomes plant available in this pH solution. Bubbler under the plants, keep them well oxygenated. No patents sorry buddy, nice thinking but you missed the boat by about 40 years. A thousand years if you count multicropping aqua type systems.
