Hi!

I noticed you are (hopefully) going to be offering this cross in the future and it really caught my attention as I've been interested in Acapulco Gold ever since... well ever since I heard the Cheech & Chong advertisement, I'm slightly embarrassed to admit.

While I realize that what you yourself know may still be limited as the cross is still in testing any info would be cool. I like that you've used an inbred fast flowering (mainly) sativa to acclimatize her indoors.

And could you tell us about the Acapulco Gold mother please. What is the high like? How does she taste, how does she smell? Where did you get her and are you 100% sure she's kosher? How does she perform indoors... flowering times, yield, potency? Are you going to be releasing a pure Acapulco Gold any time in the future?

LOL that's a lot of questions.

Needless to say, I would also really like to see some pictures.

Hey love?....thanks for your interest!! There will be much more information forthcoming, a bit closer to release (should I determine to release it).

In the meantime..........

My experience with AG goes back to...ah....'74-'75....(ooops, that might hint at my age!!!! ) LOL Should I determine all is as it should be then I'll go forward with this release, as well as decide upon further work with it.

I am most confident of my AG source....but as always, the proof is in the pudding....and it's cooking now.

I know this doesn't perhaps answer all your questions, but I ask for your patience as the AGxC99 project develops a bit more.

I've used two selected pheno's which represent mindblowing qualities I remember oh so fondly from back in the day. As for smell/taste....a sweet leaning pissy lemonish haze...basically these two are the same except for flowering time (11 and 12 weeks respectively). When working with any landrace strain, a concern at this time is checking progeny for hermaphroditic traits. Neither mom showed any....but I'd like to see this particular union grown out a bit more. Those of you with an interest in AG, please stay tuned! I'm very interested to see how this performs in others gardens, so I'll speak to Gypsy and see about getting some test growers selected after the first of the year. I have high hopes C99 will reduce flowering time and bring AG down in stature a bit (on her own she's a tall gal!), making it much more desirable for indoor growing.

I'll have to weed through (pun intended...lol) about 40gb of pics and sort out the AG pics, perhaps over the holiday when it's a bit quieter and I have some time to devote to that.

I'm really glad to hear you've experienced the real deal back in the day and therefore have somekind of comparison point. When you mention the mindblowing qualities you remember do you mean the high? What is it like?

And they only flower for 11 or 12 weeks cool, I was expecting they'd take longer.

Looking forward to seeing the pics when you get some time to post them.

Oh and needless to say I'd be more than willing to be one of those test growers.

already had his fun this go-round! Can you say spent?! LOL He spewed so much
pollen that I had to wash my contacts everytime I left the garden!

Hi DG nice cross and congratulations on the seed co.

If you need an outdoor tester for these I could start in April/May depending on outdoor frost adjustments. I grew out the Afropips Senegel Haze which I believe the Nevilles Haze that was used in the cross (Phoenix Haze) was from seeds that came from your work on the Nevilles Haze x SSH. So if it makes you feel better I've grown some of your work already...lol It really was a beautiful plant, I'll post up a few pics. I also grew out the Khmer Gold (Cambodian) which you made travels to procure. I just got done drying the Khmer Gold and its a very electric smoke but without anxiety, I really like it. Anyway keep me in mind, thanks.
