Growing White Widow
I purchased a white widow 4 pack from female seeds on seedbay. I was wondering how long would you recomend to veg and flower the plants for best performance. Also any other information you could give me about yield things i should watch out for would be very helpful. Thanks Sticky

Hi stickyman how are you doing? right I've grown some White widow from female seeds recently, its about 2 weeks from harvest now and looking and smelling great. I can tell you one thing, the seeds are of TRULY EXCELLENT QUALITY, I planted 10 seeds, all germinated beautifully, all were female, NO SIGNS OF MALE FLOWERS AT ALL. They all grew very well and when I put them into flower oh my god did they frost up.
How long you veg and flower them depends on where and how you're growing and how much space you have. If you're growing in the garden or greenhouse and space/height is no issue, I would veg them for as long as possible, let mother nature do the work for you, you will get much more weed. If you're growing indoors it all depends on how many plants you have for any given space and how big your light is. If you are growing indoors, under a 400Watt light, say 4-5 plants in an area 1m square, veging the plants for 2 maybey 3 weeks would be plenty, and you could expect returns of up to 3 oz of dried bud per plant (again this will depend a lot on how you grow). Less plants veg for longer, more plants veg for shorter. I am no expert but I hope this goes some way to explaining what you want to know. GOOD LUCK and aany other advice you need , don't hesitate to ask. Here is a photo of a white widow I grew in my garden:

Thanks for the responses a little more info on my first grow. I started all four seedlings straight into soil. Three days later three had popped and the 4th never popped most likefully because of my technique. Now its three days later and i have three healthy babies each under a 25 watt flourescent light. My space is 10 feet up and 2' long and 1' wide. I am planning on getting a 400 watt hps light for flowering. The plants are just in regular potting soil with perlite.

May be a waste getting a 400W in that kinda space, stickyicky, also heat may be a major issue.
I have a 400W in a 2x2 cupboard, to keep the temps reasonable I have to have a huge fan blowing directly under the light and keep the door open at all times. It still gets upto 85-90 under my lights as well |

Maui do you think 200 would be a better wattage for my space?
