Sour Diesel x Alaskan Thunderfuck Help! (Old Grower, New Breeder)
Hey guys, I'm an old school grower, but I've never done any breeding before. Not sure if this is the right forum category either. For years, I always grew from clones that I got from grower buddies. None of us ever had seeds or males around. I'm a medical patient and now I have a ton of seeds from various locations, and a pretty good array of genetics in general. I have always wanted to create my own strain, and not be amateur about it, really do a f2 or f3 pheno and get it right! Anyway, right now I have 7 seeds that I sprouted out of a bag of Sour Diesel. They came off of a Sour Diesel, but I was told that it was pollenated by a male Alaskan Thunderfuck. They also warned me that this is a very unstable cross and an f1 pheno. They are coming along pretty well, showing hybrid vigor. I sprouted them alongside some Sensi Seed Bank Hash Plant seeds, and the SDxAKTF is outgrowing it by a mile! So doing more research I saw that I should at the very least cross the strongest male and strongest female to do some inbreeding and get to at least an f2 or (ideally) an f3. However, I can see which ones are the strongest in the vegetative cycle, but there is no direct and fast way to see what type of buds they produce before I select the male and female I want to use. I know I can just clone the ones I like, and bud out the clones, and then decide later which ones, but that will take much space and time, and I have plenty of other stable genetics to bud out to keep me pretty occupied. I didn't breed the seeds, so I don't know if its ATF or MVTF. I've also heard that an indica-leaning pheno of this cross (probably from this same batch of seeds) is being passed around as "Arctic Kush". Personally, I would of named it Thunderfuck Diesel or something to that extent. I do see from these seeds that there was 1 or 2 that were much squatter and had fatter leaves, like an indica, I suppose thats the cut I'll let others have.

Okay, I want this strain now, and with my experience with F1 phenos, I will just clone these, bud out the originals, and see which bud I like the best, and keep propagating clones from that one. I still got a bunch of the seeds, so if I ever want a male to stabilize the strain, I can do that....just not in the mood for it now.....and thanks for the input guys!!!! *cough*sarcastic*cough*

if alaskan was the daddy then your prob in for some sugar..pop em and keep labled each one.. and if its m/f.. keep em all equal so you can really tell what ones you want.. get em big to where you want em. give ema all a go and select the keepers.. i try to use only the best Male out of the bunch that passes over some of the smells and growth that im looking for in the genes.. Good luck cant wait to see em ..ATF is a frosty Cedar Piney Thick smell.. and MVTF Lemonish Orange Tart Berry.. i think your going to love that shit

Nice
![]() You'll probably find your sweety out of those, sounds like a nice mix. That hybrid vigor your seeing is HUGE! < pun intended If you get some nice flavors/aromas & they're stable, you're golden. ![]() You should see overall improvement over the first several generations of clones also, after you've chosen your mother/s. Faster, squatter & bigger colas IME, should just keep getting better! Good luck, looking forward to your results |

Dude, these girls just keep going like no tomorrow. Its funny, cuz you can already see the more sativa dominant ones and the more indica. Some are just almost 2 foot trees now, and some are staying stubby, but with fat bushy leaves and tons of nodes.

How are they doing?
I found a local ATF cut that I'm hoping to get soon. There's quite a few *TF's floating around, but one in particular

Okay!?!? They are in 12/12 now in a tent, and showing the tiny hairs of the male preflowers, all 7 of 'em! I'm thinking they are all hermies! No bueno! :-( Will give it a few more days, and I'll try to get some pics up!
