"New York City Diesel"
New York City Diesel (Soma Seeds)
Sativa/Indica: 60/40 Buzz: uplifing, creative, smooth Taste/smell: ruby grapefruit Flowering time: 70 days indoors / beg. Nov. outdoors Parents: Sour diesel (Mexican sativaxChemo) x Afghani-hawaiian Yield: 30-100g (1-3 oz.) per plant with 600W 500-3000g (1-6 lbs.) per plant outdoors Soma's New York City Diesel is a pungent sativa with incredible yields. Soma added some Hawaiian and Afghan indica influence to the popular, almost purely sativa Sour Diesel. This raises the hybrid's calyx quotient - NYC Diesel becomes a colossus of airy bud formation with very few leaves. Soma report indoor yields of up to 100 grams per plant with some extra vegging. The strain favors indoor cultivation except in tropical climates, although good yields have been reported in the semi-arid climate of Southern California. This strain can reach 12 feet (4 meters) outdoors or 3 1/2 feet (150 centimeters) indoors. Soma report best indoor results from growing Nyc Diesel as multi-branch plant in guano-fertilized soil. The plant responds well to heavy cropping, which encourages it to form four or five big top colas. NUC Diesel's few leaves are thick and wide-more palm than finger-and dark green turning more purple toward harvest. A bed or garden of these tall conifer-like ladies smells exhilarating, like a grove of ripe grapefruit. 'Tart citrus" also defines their taste, a little sweeter than the mother strain's lemon tang. Soon after the exhale, bygones will become bygones and clouds of obsessive hard feelings will be broken up by rays of sweet creative energy. NYC Diesel is a cerebral daytime toke with a hint of body stone, good for recreation and making or enjoying art. This strain has placed in three Cannabis Cups and is a popular café smoke in Amsterdam. 2001: 14th HTCC Third place Sativa Cup 2002: 15th HTCC Second place Sativa Cup 2003: 16th HTCC Second place 2004: 17th HTCC Second place Peoples Cup 2006: Spannabis Cup Second place Resin 2008: Ic 420 Cup First place Sativa For me, one of the best I've smoked... |

Good accurate report. Well done.
I'd just like to add a couple of things. I took my final harvest at day 100 but also took some at day 85. I couldn't tell much difference between the two. I would not have considered it ready at day 70. Only grew one female though so maybe some are ready earlier. Initially I was a bit disappointed as I smoked some as soon as it was dry. This stuff really improves with a cure. It was not what I expected but I am very happy. One of my favourites. Can't wait to grow this again.
