Has anyone used the Cannabrex kit to make an extract for capsules?
I have purchased one (the 3x variety) but haven't used it yet. Wondered if anyone has any tips or experiences to share.

I have gone through 2 kit's of cannabrex and I am pretty much a fan. It's fairly simple and straightforward, and the results can be awsome.

So far the best results for me have been from extra bubblehash that didnt bubble, but I have tried with buds, ISO oil (a nightmare to try and mix), and bubblehash.

These things are perfect for travel and I reccomend them to all.

I'm going to have to use bud as I have no extracts. Have done some study on extraction methods and plan to give that a try, too.
I think they're making a tidy profit on those kits. The method seems sound and I like the idea of popping a few caps. I also like the fact that one can do the process without stinking up the house. Stealth all around!

You can use bud, but it wont be nearly as strong, which is a good thing for some people. I have had people pass out from my oil and bubble pills, even seasoned smokers have been blown away by them and I tell people to treat them like hard narcotics. Batches I have made with buds have taken 2 for me to get effects but most "social tokers" prefer the mellowness.

BTW I have only been using the 3x and following the Gold recipes.

I plan on writing a full review for this site so keep your eyes peeled.

KRS Juan is right on point. I've had the Cannabrex kit (the original and the 3X) for awhile now and have found that the best pills come from using extracts. I've found that I can get some pretty good pills from using the 190/160/120 piles all mixed together. I'm going to give some oil pills a try eventually. As far as using bud, it's doable, but the buzz is not nearly as strong. I use pills made out of bud for when I want to be high at work. That way I'm sitting on nice LONG (they last!) buzz without being too paranoid or too dopey. Functional, ya know?
Anyway, you made a good investment in that kit. I think so.

I tried upping my dose to four caps and it was pretty decent. I'd definitely like to try the better recipes with extracts. I did notice that the onset was very slow....took several hours to max out.
Will have to keep testing, Tough job but someone's gotta do it!

I've now used and tested this product with one batch. I used some potent hashplant buds, gold formula with the 3x booster.
First tip: make sure the product is WELL ground at each step. My final mixture was a bit fluffy. Its difficult to completely fill the capsules. I found their tamper to be ineffective and used an old pen to ram the caps full. It takes patience.
Yesterday I tried four caps. Onset was very slow, taking hours to reach full effect. Once in place, the buzz lasted for hours. What a hoot! No sneaking a smoke. No smell. Just discreetly swallow a few caps. I would advise caution, though cuz once it comes on, it comes on hard!
Using the extract recipes is probably best. I found it difficult to measure the amounts called for if one doesn't have a scale with 0.1g resolution.
All in all, a great product!

I took the caps on vacation. They are very handy! Stealthy to use, no smoke to hide and no smell....just a silly grin.
I've settled on four caps for a great ride, though three will do nicely as well. If my stomach is empty, they come on in about an hour and peak by two hours. Taking them before noon last the rest of the day with best effects going for about six hours.
Making the caps definitely has a learning curve. The instructions don't tell it all. I have some hash now so will do a batch with that next.

Its a rip off. Its old pharmacy tech and is not even under patent. The ingredients can be found for $10/lb to the commoner and even cheaper to money willing to drop $20k on an order. These people are trying to pull bigger margins than a good grow which is definitely not acceptable since all they do is repackage old tech. I haven't used this type of formulation, but I suspect that simple ingredients from the health food grocers carefully selected and prepared will perform equally. I used to think I had to eat 1.25g of primo bud just to catch a mild buzz. Now I'm pretty high off 75mg of hash oil or 0.5g of trim/bottoms. I experienced medical relief of pneumonia induced anorexia from 7.5mg of oil with full nights sleep at 40mg but with serious munchies. Smoking a gram would not relieve my anorexia or provide much sleep for that condition at the time.

Key tip: Heavy fats delay onset as well as somewhat diminishing the total effect. You want to start coming up in 45min and be blasted by the 1.5hr mark, eat minimally and take your dose in the most compact form possible.
