Do u have to veg in vert to flower properly in vert???
Im looking to def flower vertical circular but was wondering as ive read otherplaces that u should also veg in vert for a plant to really put out in flowering this style of growing, i can understand low branches would grow more in veg this way also but in my current sit i could use the benefit of horizontal veg and am wondering if im making a mistake? or if its really nothing to worry about.
i also understand u shouldnt rotate the plants so both sides get equal light once there flowering as ive heard this fucks them up in yeild.... |

It really depends on how long you're going to veg for. If it was only a week or so, you could veg them either way, but if you grew little trees you would definitely want to only veg vertically. I vegged vertically myself and still ended up with some wasted branches on the side with little to no light.
Yeah you should definitely not rotate plants because you'll end up with tons of tiny nugs compared to tons of big buds if you dont rotate them. |

Every system, strain and growstyle will differ, I am vegging horz to get a little stretch with this particulare strain, if I vegged these gals vert, they would all look like stocky hairy leg women and I would need twice as many to fill the space

just going out on a limb here but i would say vegging horizontally would be optimum as the plants dont need as much light, and typically wouldnt be as tall. A vert setup would be hard for big numbers in regards to cuttings, seedlings, mothers and so on. but im sure you could gather them around the light just the same, who knows

I've been wondering the same thing. I have a good amount of plants that are nicely vegged horizontally. I'm building my vert flower room but I'm afraid that I might be limiting myself on yield since these guys are vegged horizontally and are little bushes. I'm wondering if it would actually be better for me to run this run horizontally simply because of this vegging issue. Anyone have experience flowering out plants vertically that have been vegged horizontally?

i vegged horizontally on my frst attempt with vertical. i would recomend vegging vertically so that you can train all of your branches to the light side.
rotation is futile. |

i recomment vegging verticaly so that you can give a chance for the small flowers at the internodes that are normally at deep in the plant canopy to develop.

While you are right in a sense, I'm not sure you're totally right overall. I mean, depending on the strain, some may yield more overall from rotation than not. It also depends on how your vertical system is set up. My system uses vertical T-8 and horizontal HPS. Rotating my plants has kept them covered most effectively. Some strains have not gained much from this, but others, like my Trainwreck X Sour Diesel have turned into monsters with this practice. I think it's not a simple yes/no answer is all.

Rotate or not rotate seems to be a popular occurring theme around here. Tomato vs Tomater.
