Lights: CFL- watts NA
Method: ScroG or SoG
Medium: Soil
ummm... ask for more info if need be.. lol

basically i found some o ld shelves, cut em up and nailed me together... only tools i have to work with are: screw drivers, hammer, box cutter, and a table saw.

This is what i come up with.... so far......

I know it might seem ghetto but it is the best i can do with cave man tools.

whats up with the bag buddy? I fucked up my first clones doing that to them and if it's seed you don't need the bag...

Also get a Y socket and then put a Y socket in each of it's sockets and now you have 4 lights hanging on that one cord... That's how my first cab was for a while until I built the one in my Fluoro Frenzy thread where I have them hard mounted like DrBud but yea dude if you go and get those sockets and 2 42w 2700K bulbs and 2 26w daylight 6500K bulbs you will be fine with a scrog like we talked about or!!!! Even easier than that you can do LST which was what I did with my first grow on here with Thunder Goo and it turned out well I got 13g off the one plant I LSTd so look into that since it's a bit easier to do than build a screen ect...

As for the fans you should be able to use the charger and splice the wire in 2 of course and hook it to the red and black wires on the fans or the red and white just test it out till you find which works then twist em up and tape em and you have fans!

Hi kweb,

I'm on my first grow with a new cab as well. I like what you have done. I would suggest a reflector for that light. Much of its light is just going sideways.

How important is stealth to you?

Here is the best info on PC I have found: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=131842
ScrubNinga really knows his stuff. I posted some pics of my SketchUp modeled cab in there.

Why not use the computer's power supply?

see ya,

Im not too sure what LSP stands for but im going to search for more information....

i have thought about the y socket and definitly plan to get some eventually, however...

there is a house for sale across the street that has a light mounted on a tall pole and has a cfl in it. I saw when i walked under it and it is crazy bright. it lights the whole yard and the side of the house.

I was thinking of just going there at night, putting some gloves on and unscrew that bizitch and hopefully not die from it, lmao. i should be fine as long as i dont touch metal or wires. I hope it is medium sized socket and nor the large size...

I am going to look around the house for a cell phone charger that i replaced due to a bad plug, and wire the 2 fans see if it works alright.

Im so pumped to get this cab finished, wife is a little annoyed because im so into this. All i want to do is have free medication. lmao.

As for the pc power supply, i would rather not use it because it is a bit bullky and i need to utalize every inch i can...
I agree i do need to make a reflectorso it is more productive...

I am also trying to find a thermometer and some of that other small stuff... but... my goal for the moment is to fix the fans to work before i approach the smaller stuff....

KEEP THE COMMENTS COMMING.. and thanks

Don't steal a light from your neighbors house even if it is empty, it's bad karma (The bulb will also probably turn out to have a mogul base lol).

You should find chargers that have the amperage listed on them. You have one fan that draws .2A (200 milliamps) and one that draws .3A (300 milliamps). That's one half an amp (500 milliamp) draw, so your charger should be putting out more than that in order to safely handle powering both fans.

Like oldone asked, how stealthy does this cab need to be?

As for stealth... that is kind of a broad topic... i mean... if i could make it invisible i would tell icmag how its done.. basically i just want the plant to be covered, smell to be gone, and look like the box could be there other then for growing mary jane. lol... that question stumps me if you know what i mean. i am going to let my wife paint "pretty designs" on it, so she says.

if it isnt easily noticed and doesnt draw attention from stink, anything goes.... how ever.... i lost my job a week ago and am pinching pennies not be like homeless... lmao..jk not funny ....
i walked accross the street, sure enough it was a mogul base... lmfao.. that light is higher then i thought it was last time i was there..

Ill just have to focus on the fans.... i think i am going to have to cut the hole with a box cutter cause i dont have propper tools... ill just trace the circle and shave it out...

The reason we ask about stealth is that it is hard to get right, smell especially. You either have to filter it out (with a carbon scrubber) or mask it with another scent. Your fans may not be powerful enough to push/pull through a scrubber. It will also occupy a significant portion of your cab.

You may also vent it to the outside I suppose if possible. Smell wont be a problem until your girls are in flowering but you would be wise to start thinking about it now.

good luck,
OO

I would have to agree, the smell is a huge factor. I have thought about it and plan to replicate sugarbears/Bongasaurus design ===>> Micro Carbon Scrubber. I know i need to think about pushing the air through a scrubber, im just not sure how imma do it with very very little cash flow.

I have been wondering about a using dual fans to filter... This to me is the hardest thing about making the box, i have the general understanding of most the other design aspect, the budget is whats really really killing the proccess. i cant really work too much on the box today cause im getting cable and new internet today so imma be here chillin and waiting.... Thank OO for the post...

Keep Em Comming!
