Well, the seedlings are coming up, I've got 12 but I figure I'll hopefully, have about 8 girls when all is said and done. 3 Satori, 2 A-11, 2 CindyHaze, 2 LSD (fem), and 3 Afghan. They're young but doing well.

They'll be in 3 gal pots in a 3ft circle around a 400W either MH, HPS, or CMH, (what bulb would YOU use?), I'll hang the bulb about 3ft off the ground, I'll use fence to make a 3ft diameter 4 ft tall circular screen. I'll keep everything behind the fence (18" from the bulb) until flowering, I'll let the buds grow in.

Should I LST the plants? Keep them low along the fence in a low spiral? Letting the branches grow up the side? Or, let them climb and spread out along the side only worrying when they get close to the top of the fence? I'll have access all around...I have plenty of room.

I'm just wondering what others who have done this already would do in my shoes. What mistakes have you made already? How long did you veg? Is my size right? Smaller diameter? Larger? I just need VSCROG hot tips...

The top of the plant tells everybody else to get behind it and stay down. Cut the top off, the next two down take over. Bend the top down, and every stem will try and take over.

There is another school of thought, of which I belong and you'll find others Bush Dr. and Superconductor come to mind; that just use the cage as a barrier and not as a scrog screen.

You can reduce the diameter of the cage down to 18" - 20".

I'm noticing there are two schools of thought on lamp placement too.

One that says hang the lamp a couple of feet above and let the plant grow up too and another that keeps the bulb just above the top of the shortest plant, moving it up gradually along with the initial stretch. The plants won't grow above the bulb. The latter is what I've done, but that's also with 2 x 600w.

i made the mistake of topping plants in a vert grow once. They just bushed out and didn't grow tall enough to take advantage of it. let the branches grow, you'll be amazed when they fill in top to bottom with buds and you have full size colas on the lower part of the plant.
