4 1500W bare bulb (or cooltube)...please help...
Ok, so I have built a new flower room that is 10X12 and now have 4 1500w ballasts and bulbs to fill it. So how do I set this up prooperly. I assume that now I have NO questions of whether I should use cool tubes or not, I pretty much have to right? I have not seen any good pics on how to set these up for multiple solo vert lights and cooltubes. Should each 2 just make a u-shape from the ceiling and back into the cieling? Can I connect all four somehow?
Thanks! |

nice! you beat me to the 1500 watt hps's! not sure how much heat they put off, but most likely you will need cooltubes. check out the vert in my signature, they all have 3 1000's in cool tubes. with 4 1500, might want to do a double vertical, like the one in my signature. good luck bro!

Hey growclean, you could get a few of those 16" metal floor fans at wal-mart and set them directly under the bulb and have them blowing straight up. Those fans are fairly quiet, inexpensive and blow lots of air on low.

I had my local hydro shop order them for me. They are sun systems and there were less than 30 left in stock when we ordered them! So I am not sure if there are still any left. If you want some you should try to get them TOMORROW. Good luck! |

1500 Watt HPS with what Reflector?????
I have 10 Master Blaster 1500 Watt Ballasts. (Dont ask how ill have to lie) I also have 10 4ft parabolic hoods. I keep hearing you HAVE to use Air Cooled reflectors like the Magnum XXXL. Im curious to what people think about using 7ft parabolic reflectors with these ballasts and maybe dealing with the heat with 2 12 inch out-takes? The room is 12X13 with 8 and a half ft ceilings.
I think using the 4 ft parabolics would be a waste. Here is my set up I have in my head..... 12x13x8 ft room. 4 6ft parabolic reflectors 4 1500 watt HPS ballasts 2 10 to 12 inch intakes that take from under home. 1 12 inch out-take 2 ft deep beds with soil CAN I HEAR WHAT PEOPLE THINK THE PROS AND CONS ARE. THANKS... HEAT I WOULD ASSUME IS THE ONLY CON... OH YEAH......HELLO EVERYONE IM NEW TO THE FORUM. |
