Cannagraphic Crew,

How do you get your caffeine?

I like both Tea and Coffee and enjoy either while burning.

These days I try to avoid the cola soft drinks but still on occasion endulge.

Cup of tea for me please! Pot of tea even better...drink it every day. I love the variety, it gets a bit like herb; endless types to try out, all the different flavours and strengths. Go with some good Nepalese loose leaf when I can, otherwise quality tea bags (carry these abroad when travelling as quality is often poor)

Coffee tastes great but often leaves me a little too speedy

Yeah, I drink coffee in the morning and have tea later in the day.
Seems like there are more flavor varieties of tea vs. coffee. I heard on the radio the other day that certain types of tea should not be boiled but heated to a temperature below boiling for their best flavor.

So only one tea drinker on this entire site..hmmm?

I drink mostly 'tea' these days
but its only real tea about half the time
the other half i am drinking yerba mate, or guarana tea, to get caffeine
sometimes i have some ephedra tea too, or coca tea
if i am desperate, i will grab an energy drink, but only if i am desperate

I drink 2-3 cups of a day. I roast my own and I'm so glad I saw this thread since I need to do a batch before dark. MMMMMMMM, fresh roasted, lightly so there's more caffeine and flavor of where the bean originates, milling processes etc.

All about home roasting is located here-

I'm also a coffee addict, but I love a good cup of Earl Grey or English Breakfast Tea.

Every christmas I treat myself to a lbs of Kona.
Almost getting to be that time... can't wait

Surely not! I thought that any UK people posting would have a preference for tea where as the rest of the world would mainly go for coffee...

Coffee has become more popular in the last 10 years due to Starbucks and numerous other outlets doing the same. I think alot of instant freeze dried stuff is still drunk by people at home, but fresh is usually brought out for guests. How do most people brew a standard pot of coffee at home in America? Filter machine? Percolator?

^^That is true, types that have a delicate/subtle flavour should not be scorched by boiling water...boil the water and let it sit for a little while > into teapot and add tea cosy > brew > drink. If you're paying for top shelf tea it's a shame not to taste it at it's best.

Relatives in Ireland make super strong tea a bit like brewing coffee...tea goes straight into a kettle on the stove ~low-ish heat~ brews away and is poured as needed...water and tea is added for as long as you're drinking, no tea thrown away! Not subtle in flavour or potency! You'll need a Guiness or three to come down...
