Mites

I was just looking at the trichs on my plant to see if it is ready to harvest and noticed some mites, yellow ones. The plant is ready for harvest. any suggestions?

take em down...depending on how bad the mites are, you might be ok.

plants will grow just fine with a few mites crawlin on em, not to say that it's a good thing to see.... but you most likely wont lose anything if they're just starting at the plant in the last couple weeks of flower.

I'd flush her as you normally would and take it down when she's ready personally.... unless there are hundreds and hundreds of them throwing a mite bash.

Yeh if they are having a orgy and piling up so much they are falling off then thats bad. As i have had that happen more then a few times before. They are 1 of the worst pests to get and get rid of . Make sure you clean up and prevent from further infection. As they spread very easy and once they get a foot hold are hard to stop. Good Luck Jubei

The plant is going to be harvested any day now. I was told to just run it under the shower after I chop it.

That's what I did after trimming it down and placing the trim in the freezer...(torture the little bastards). Just be carful to not use the massage setting as you don't want to know the trichs off the buds and make sure you have a shit load of air movement to prevent mold. JMO

spider mites only feed on fan leaves & branch leaves , you will probably never see a spider mite on a bud or high resin area ..just harvest & enjoy ,, peace

I bought some fruit and flowering plant spray for insects. It is made by schultz. It is the only non toxic spray I could find, says safe enough to use day of harvest. I will see how it works out.
