Training for vert?

Ive got two digital 600s in the center of the 4.6x4.6x6.6.. on above the other.. in cooltubes..
right now im doing 13 clones just because the next crop wasnt ready, but Im concerned about the crop i plan to put in here in 3weeks..

LA confidential.. I have 4, they are about 6 weeks old from seed.. All 4 are pretty uniform, and only 2 really have any branches besides the main cola..

Purple Wreck-6weeks from seed.. 2 are urkle phenos and very short.. the other 4 are trainwork or hybrid phenos and i just topped them a couple of days ago.. prob too late to do anything really.. the tallest is 19" from the soil..

I still have 3 weeks left before I can put these in flowering..

Should I do any training? a week before putting into flowering I plan to trim back all suckers and the lower third off each plant..

I had some 16" tall clones that are in a vert grow now, 1st time for me.

The last 4 days of veg I laid them over on their side so all the leaves and stems would orient in one direction. I wouldn't think trimming the lower 1/3 is as important as removing branching on the soon to be back side of the plant.
