hanging 2 bulbs verticle safely???

Probably a simple question but im completely new to vertical setups so thought id ask.

Can anyone give me some suggestions or any idea's on the best way to hang 2 x 600w bubls safely vertically as im really paranoid of fire and keep thinking that the highest bulb will touch the lowest bulbs power cord especially when oscillating fans are used in the room. Thanx

I put screw rings into the joists, then use tywraps to hang the lights and suspend the cables.I replace the tywraps each year so they don't break down. Peace GS

Orient the bulbs so the sockets are farthest away from each other. One cord can lay on the floor and the other can be hung from above just like Green says.

Check out Labtec. He just built a twin 600 vertical. You might get some ideas from the pics and I'm sure he'd assist if you ask him, pretty good dude.

DiscoBiscuit thanks for the props. I thank thee.hehe You rock

Hey dazzerx2000, vertical rocks. Here's a couple pics of how I hung my bulbs and socket assemblies. I Just took a cable and put eye screws on the top of the chamber and the bottom, and hung the cable from them. I used cable stops to fasten the ends together and to make a stop for the eye screws that I put onto the socket assembly.

thanx for all the replies peeps solid info here ive got allot to think about

DiscoBiscuit i always seem to miss the obvious forgot one bulb can be coming from the bottom up so its cable can just lie flat against the floor doh....... ill probably do this as it sounds the simplest way.

labtec thats some very imaginative DIY'ing there i dout i could replicate it i dont seem to have the DIY gene just never been good at it would love to try your way if i can get my head around it thou as it looks neat and easy to adjust bulb high.
