Snowboarders-Triple Base Technology?

Has anyone ridden these boards? Ive been wanting a new board and have been leaning towards Lib Techs Banana line, but then stumbled upon Bataleons tbt. It looks pretty sick for riding park and pow. All i can find on there website is like "we are the best, dont buy any other board" its kind of sickening and i would like some more opinions.

Interesting at least.

My thoughts are it might be nice for turns and such instead of getting all the way up on your edge. But I'd be curious to see how it compares when riding straight. It seems like the smaller base would slow you down just because your board is resting on a smaller area. Smaller area, means more frictional forces...

As far as bigger jumps, I think that might be stretching it. Maybe easier landings instead of catching an edge though...

Just a thought... The price is up there too from what I saw...

I've taken for a few runs, not in powder though. I wasn't blown away as much as I was when I rode a Lib banana. Part of that has to do with the magna traction though. If you have enough ability you won't ever loose an edge on a board with magna traction. I liked Lib's shapes for powder over many of the other companies reverse cambers. They've got a season or two more development into their specs.

Another thing to consider is that Lib's are bullet proof. I rode one last year for the second half of the season and it never broke. I generally break two boards a season. Be it rocks, trees, or the fact I land too far in the back seat. I beat the piss out of the Lib I had and the board took it all. I know some people that ride Bataleons and I would save they are average when it comes to construction.

If you have the chance try and demo them both. It will also depend on the type of riding, location, style of terrain you want to be in.

I got a snowboard last year, and I bought a pass for this season, can't wait.

It's gonna be my first time, but I've skateboarded a lot when I was young.

Gonna be fun!
Makes me anticipate snow.

Hey everyone thanks for the feedback. They definitely look like fun and have grabbed my attention more then tbx, but i've heard enough good stuff about magnetraction and reverse camber to make up my mind. Banana all the way. Unless i can demo some boards....

Fully baked- The middle of the board is still flat. It flares up towards the nose and tail. they claim its actually better fore bombing down groomed shit. idk though, i had the same thoughts..

Prof- WHAT?!?! get out there dude, no time to waste. AHAHA nice. i think ill stick with banana and away from trannies :P

Frank- Ya ive heard tons of good stuff about bananas. Ive also been thinking that triple base has been around for like ten years, i figure more people would be riding them if there as good as bataleon says they are

White Rabbit dude it definitely helps to know how to skate. Its alot different but when you get comfortable its easy to throw that skate style into it. Keep those snow thoughts flowin! It will be here. EL NINO 2009 oh ya.

thats tight Harvest, i got a homie with lib. gonna try to score banana!

Happy Riding!!!!!
