Technically Swt#3*Swt#3 is not an F2 no.
Being a backcross line it's not an IBL/true breeding strain either - you need inbreeding with selection for that. Check out Chimera's post "Cubing - a myth" for explanations.

So if & when some of these prized rare Swt 4 eggs magically appear on the bay one day (a little birdie told me) what should they be called if not F2's?

Swt4 x Swt4 lol

If they call them F2 everybody will know what it means even if not technically correct
Or just call them Swt#4 seconds

Sweet Tooth #4 IBx1

Man you should have seen the big bad ass straight sweet/sour pink grapefruit rind smelling daddy, he was a vicious purple stemmed autoflowering mofo with giant leaves that got pollen everywhere in the damn place, coated the walls man. He literally did'nt miss a pistil.

The mother was a light green color and super duper squat, literally no internodes and very low odor except when you rubbed the stem it was undeniable Sweet Pink Grapefruit citrus.

This was several years ago. Kept in a dark fridge ever since, recently tested germination was 5/5 in a wet paper towel in approx. 48 hours after soaking overnight in warm RO water first. They are all fully mature, plump, dark brown, & tiger striped. Identical to originals.

Good name And as far as I can see technically correct because that is inbreeding.
IBL is a totally different beast - technically it just means an inbred line and doesn't say anything about stability per se, but if you call it IBL people also expect it to be somewhat truebreeding.
IBx1 is perfect.

Sol's Classics

I myself would be content with only the F2's..of course if they wanted to do the extra work of backcrossing for selection that would just be a check in the plus column. Do it any way you want, but bring back as many as you can...i will buy all of them..lots and lots of them all. I had about 160 original Blockheads beans from around 2001 that were in the 90% germination range, so far i have those numbers up to about 1500..also same thing with the Sweet Tooth #3 and 1.1 have smaller numbers of some of the more obscure varieties and will start working those soon..but i am still missing quite a few of the all-time classics and would defineitely stock up on as many as possible.Steve's breeding skills are a rare commodity and i for one would think it would be safe to say i would choose just about anything from SOL's stable over ANYTHING from ANYONE else.
Yes they are that good. Just look at how many times people have tried to "improve" Blockhead and called it something else..as far as i'm concerned it was just fine right out of the 15 seed pack.

Glad to see this thread.

Would love to see the shishkaberry again if possible as well as the plum. Never had a chance to see anything but already selected cuts from these years ago.

As it stands I've grown the Blue Satellite 2.2 which had an amazing color and flavor. It's why I bought a pack of the OGK X BS 2.2 .

Thanks again and much appreciation to Steve and yourself.

Lots of people excited about the blockhead. It must be something special.

Best of luck and safe journey.

I think f2's would be a travesty. If ya gonna do it do it right. Steve built this company on quality. So much variation in F2's, it just wouldn't be fair to the name Spice of Life. Peace GS
Well since they have already released F2's

The much anticipated latest release of the Blue Satellite is upon us. The male was selected for its dark purpling and resin count. Surprisingly this f2 is yielding a fairly homogenous crop. All purple by harvest. The same uplifting fragrance and high. Beautiful plants and buds. Beautiful flavor, beautiful buzz. Dark green and huge, the leaves are unmistakable. Hard to believe it’s illegal almost everywhere.

Hey Koot, congrats on your new seedline and SOL projects. We need companies where quality and integrity are main priorities, not $150 untested crosses from someone elses work, lol. I'm in Mexico currently working, but as soon as I get back to my bean stash I will check those Shishkas.

One thing that I've wanted but has always eluded me is an authentic SOL shirt, I love the logo with a red or blue shirt. When SOL had their forum on 420 I was waiting for one but the forum closed. Are there any plans on printing any more tees? i bet they would sell out quick. My friend has a good pro printer in Mexico and I can make them cheap if given permission, off course.
