Personally I'd say that your first concern should always be with decent soil. A decent soil can provide upto six weeks feed and stand you in good stead. I let the soil do the feeding in veg and then supplement with canna terra flores at 10% the recommended dilution when neccessary.

note...it has taken me a few grows to conclude this.....trial and error....trial end error

Like you say lots of people have lots of opinions and they'll all say theres is the best....I say good luck in finding your solution.

That IS funny! But, back in 1980, a circus was in town, so my grow buddy and I took a bushel basket with us and bummed some elephant do do. A bushel of softball size elephant turds. Sounds like Beavis and Butthead now, but we thought we were on to some really "advanced nutrients". We dug a hole, chopped up the turds, mixed in some dirt, active compost and a bag of Bone Meal we had. We only waited about a month and carried several 5 gallon buckets of it out to our patch and broadcast the concoction around our plants, being careful not to let it pile up anywhere. Those plants started growing like hell and continued to do so well into flowering. We had to prop them up they got so tall and heavy, which was a first for either of us. The strains were a Kush that he had (he was a former Hare Krishna with great weed connections for Indian weed) and my Hawaian x Oahacan cross. A truly memorable harvest of great weed in abundace. There were a lot of years after that I longed for a source of Elephant manure again. Probably any composted manure would have done the same thing, but we were sold on the Dumbo do do.

I think it's more about Genetics than Ferts, a plant can only take in so much nutrients, you can get a low yielding strain and pump it full of ferts and guess what.... it will still be low yielding. Try experimenting with different strains before spending a fortune on ferts you will be suprised at the results.

I've been running Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Bloom (soil version) and it is spectacular. If you want even more, get some Hydroplex and you'll see monster buds

From what I've been reading for years, I'm using crappy soil and crappy nutrients. For what it's worth, I get great buds. This time around is going to be the heaviest buds. This harvest is going to be huge for me. Add to this the new job and long hours. I won't have much time to smoke.

I use MG potting mix and Garden Soil. No amendments. For food I was using MG Bloom Booster. Now I've got Schultz Bloom. So far I am very pleased with the current condition of my plants and buds.

I recommend.

Needed to add that my soil is at least 18 months old and has been through the wringer 5-6 times.
