and that there were more but wasn't quite sure where they were at the moment. Black light poster from 1972 This one is just a regular poster. From 1971 If he ever finds the others i'll post them. Thought some might be intrested. If you have some Pot related posters from back in the day please post pics of them. I would love to see em. Peace and *bong*

This "stoned agin" poster was everywhere, if they had a black light, almost invariably they had this poster.
![]() "From 1965-1970, rock and roll veered off into a political and cultural revolution that changed music forever. For the first time, music brought together an entire generation and gave many hope in the bleak times that included the slaying of Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and Robert Kennedy, The Vietnam War and the shadow of nuclear destruction. During the mid to late 60s, as rock music began the transition into psychedelia, art crept into the scene in the form of flyers and posters announcing the venues and bands playing in the San Francisco area. This art quickly took hold and soon enough posters were being produced for all kinds of shows up and down the west coast, and later in the east. At the heart of the scene was Bill Graham and The Fillmore Auditorium in SF. As the 60s drew to close, we saw the music and art peak with events like Woodstock and the acid tests. The scene started to fade at the end of the decade, with the deaths of Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix signalling both the beginning of the 70s and the end of rock and roll as people had known it. For many, the posters shown here are vivid reminders of an amazing time in history." 60's concert poster art link I remember going into a headshop in '68 (old fart ramblin' story follows) back in the day, when all they sold was Posters, rolling papers, roach clips, and brass lamp parts that could be assembled into a pot pipes and not a whole lot more... Bongs hadn't been commercially mass produced as of yet, basically didn't exist. Very few people had ever heard of such a thing outside of Southeast Asia at the time. The first commercialy available acrylic bong wasn't mass produced in the states until about '71 or so. The only bong I encountered in the late sixties was a bamboo one that a friend had brought back from Vietnam to smoke his bundles of thai sticks in that he brought home stuffed into a gutted out stereo receiver..sad day when they were gone. Anyways back to 68 headshop. The walls where covered with all the usual suspect posters of the era, but the big deal was the black light room where the real trippy stuff was. Nothing like a good hit of Owsley 8 way sunshine acid and room full of black light posters to trip out on, why a day without a black light poster was like a day without "Sunshine" back then (pun intended). And some old timey posters...
