150 w HPS Floodlight - How do I rewire it?

I just got a 150 watt HPS floodlight from lowes. It is by Regent, but it is not the same as the one (posted here) that everybody keeps pointing out to me. My light looks nothing like that one. My light is more of a box shape. It is all one piece. It is NOT a dusk to dawn light. I have tried it as is, but it gets very warm in its current setup, and I am getting ready to use a much smaller area where heat will be more of a concern.

Here is all the info I can find about this light:
Regent
Commercial Lighting
Floodlighting
Die-cast aluminum housing
Polished aluminum reflector
Medium base lamp included
120 Volt reactor type: normal power factor ballast
Mounts with 1/2" threaded knuckle
Hinged door frame for service access
UL and CSA listed for wet locations
Width: 8 1/4"
Height: 8 1/4"
Extends: 5 1/2"
Assembled in Mexico
Model #: MFL150HPSSRC
Watts: 150
Lamp Type: High Pressure Soium
Ballast: R-NPF

It looks much like (this one) but my light base is located at the bottom of the fixture and stands up (vertical) instead of on its side like this picture, but the fixture is about the same design.

How do I change this into a remote ballsat light?
My electrical knowledge is minumal.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

W/out a pic, most cannot say. Here's something to consider.

You'll find the wiring diagram for this ballast. I googled R-NPF, I am familiar w/advanced because I converted the "other" lamp for a cabinet setup. Worked well. The Tiawain, which was several selections before advanced looked cheap. Be careful.
Stay safe

If you haven't yet - you just add extension wire to the wires going to the bulb. Up to 8' of 10 gauge won't change the resistance enough to overheat the ballast transformer. Just make sure you don't get them crossed, the bulbs are isolated ground.

I started long ago with the Regent security spotlights and after 3 years they still work fine. I reused the metal reflectors by clipping glass to each and opening up the ends for air flow. After I got the two 400s in use now I relegated the old 100w MHs and 150w HPS to the veg chamber. I also use a 75w HPS for the sprouting chamber.

Good luck on your efforts - will be watching out for a grow thread of your current project! See ya in chat.

Note that this one is a different case, meant to mount vertically on a wall:

Next time do some searching. There is a great sticky with tons of links in it at the top of this forum. Check it out. Since you're too lazy... https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=36344

Oh one more thing...try posting something of quality instead of the many lame one sentence posts you have been just to boost your post count.
