if you have lets say 10 plants on the ground, but two 600s vertical, one ontop of the other, should it yield more than the same 10 plants on the ground with the two 600s overtop?

Seems like a complicated PIA to me. I want to keep things simple.

30 plant vertical shelving grow

From what I have been reading yes, more room to grow, side lighting, 360 degrees of lighting versus top down style. It all does make damn good sense to me.

My current girls in veg are going to be my first vertical. Already started my first vert thread

can't wait to see it generate more yields than I know what to do with, I doubt I won't know what to do with it though lol.

Still vegging them now,

I have 30 girls vegging,

Once I have them tall enough I am setting up the vertical tent itself (nice to have two open tents right now) and then take pics and toss in my thread.

Once it is setup vertical I migh veg vertical as well IF it makes sense BUT I don't see how it would UNLESS they were moms that I wanted LARGE for clones or something.

I tend to enjoy veggin under my 110w dual 55w biax t5's for power reduction.

because if your growing in a closet, with 2.5 wide by 6 feet long dimension, it doesnt make as much sense because its a narrow space... i guess thats my only excuse.

It's the opposite actually. Really really simple and makes more sense than horizontal. A reflector is an unnessecary complication in my book.

It's not for everyone though, a bit like scrog. If you like moving your plants around and easy access it's not much use but if you want easy GPWs then it makes sense

there surely are horizontal gardens that are way more complicated than any vertical out there
this is a personal choice, however one point is that even if you work harder in the vertical garden, you arent wasting the light with a reflector which means increased yields

and this is the reason that alot of people couldnt do it (and the only valid one imo)
