ATTACK of the LADY BUGS!!!!
They are everywhere! They want in the house for the winter!
Lady Bugs everywhere! So I got a milk jug and went outside and collected a couple hundred in about 15 minutes. I guess their defense against predators is to fall, so I poked them and held the milk jug underneath. They fell right inside. Then I squirted them with a little honey, sloshed a little water in there on em, and released them into the grow. The honey water stuck most of their wings together so they can't fly. They are busy eating up some spider mites I hope. Wonder where they all come from? When I was a kid, no such phenomena, but now they are here each fall. I think they are some Asian Lady Bug, must be an import. |

AHH! We got those, too. Went in the forest preserve last weekend and they were everywhere. They usually don't do much in the grow room..They just fly into the light and sizzle up and die. It's more of a PITA to clean the dead ones up.

lola u seem to have some "critter issues".
have u ever tried to co-exist w/ the critters. i'm not saying that to get on your case, and i have had spells where i can get along w/ pretty much all critters, but i've got a fly in my room right now that is driving me nuts. ive lived where i slept outside/tent and dealt w/ swarm of skeetrs, and somehow was less bothered by them than this damn fly. i can ask my mom about the ladybugs....she has to eradicate a bunch of them every year, off top of my head i dont remember what she does, but it's effective. |

that pic was seconds after I dumped em.
Most are still in a honey water wad... They are everywhere now... didn't take long. Eat my children, eat those spider mites.... that is all the food there is, unless you turn on each other... mwahahahaha |

My house was literally covered with about 5,000 lady bugs yesterday, they even made their way into the garage.
