Angry Bud Rot

Caterpillars attacked my BC Kush X Bubblegum.
They got pretty deep into the buds, some of which are 4-5" in diameter.
They must have caused the rot, as the humidity has been fairly low until recently.
About half of my larger buds have some bud rot in the center.
The first inch and a half or so is fine, but non-smokable nonetheless.

What are my options, besides throwing it out?
ISO?
BHO?
Can I make butter?
Can it be kiefed?
I just got going again and it will be 2 more months till my next harvest, so I would like to make this last.
Thank you everyone!

Wouldn't the mold spores get into the Bubblehash?
I was thinking the boiling butter would kill the mold or the alc. would disinfect it?
I will do Bub Hash in a heartbeat if it's ok!

Hello sorry to hear about the mold problems...If i were you id make some bubble hash it will be the safest meens of getting your trichomes away from that scetchy mold.. I have made bho from contaminated material and you can taste the mold in the oil slightly..The mold spores will float and the trichomes sink no worries friend..

take care

I have some buds that went moldy, saved some though that werent touched. Are you saying not to smoke them?
Don't want to do myself any damage and have other bud, so checking after reading this.

So sry i hear the mold found yourbuds,,,
i had one of my Nebula colas afflicted with mold,,it was caught Very early but,,, i chopped the whole branch the cola was on,, cut the top off the cola above where the mold started,, and a good inch below and threw the effected part away... lost a couple eights maybe but the rest was fine,, i just made sure i saved the parts well away from the effect area.

you're not drying the buds With the mold still in it are you??,,

i`d toss all the moldy buds, no hash no cooking no nothing, i`m sure you can save some of it though, just keep trimming till your sure you`ve got all the mold.

I got a mold once and I Chucked the whole lot. Is the affected weed drying near where you are still growing? If it is Move that shit somewhere else. Spores are spores (even if you cut the worst parts out and no longer see mold) and could transfer through the air to your other young'uns.

you also might wanna try water cure after you remove all the mold as well, i`ve heard it works in quite a few cases.
