Where did the TAGers go?
I spent 4 days absorbing this great info, even though it is 4 years old. This is Hidden Knowledge for DWC enthusiasts. Alas, I have several questions that the 53 pages did not cover. Plus, now some 4 years later, maybe some of the hardware is improved. Specifically looking for reasonable cost ACCURATE Cycle timers that do seconds and the Ts with built in foggers/screens.

You can get a very accurate cycle timer from Sentinel. I use one for run to waste where I need to control run time very accuately.
The MDT-1. It's a fun toy with lots of features, run you about $150. |

I second the Sentinel recommendation - I have the Sentinel DRT-1 and I'm loving it you can program units in seconds. Very nice. I've also heard very good things about C.A.P.'s cycle timers. Both very accurate, both good choices - I'm a little unclear on the second part of your question. What are you referring to when you mention a T?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the CAP timers are analog, where-as the Sentinel is digital. Go with the Sentinel.

Thanks for the timer tip. I actually found their site and contacted them yesterday.
I was referring to 1/2 inch Ts. I saw them on the TAG forum. The whole thing was manufactured as a complete unit. You can unscrew the mister and clean the screen. Now that I've done more research, I found inline filters from sprinklerwarehouse.com that can go between the pump and riser that are much easier to use. All you need is one filter. |
