Where to smoke in Amsterdam? - The Dutch Experience - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Howdy Smokerz! I'm flying to Schipol on 31st October.(we were going to wait for the Cannabis Cup, but thought it would be to packed out for our liking, so hopefully the place should be quiet n chilled, with plenty of seats in cafe's).
Its the 1st time I'll be in Dam for about 4/5 years! I'm looking for the best places to smoke...
'Grey Area' is top of my list...but I'm looking to venture out of the city centre to find better places to smoke better quality bud.
Has anyone got any good recommendations? for places to Smoke and places to stay? as I have no accommodation as yet....
OG Kush, and Sour Diesel.. are top of my hitlist... (as ive never tried any of Rez stuff).
I'm looking for a crazy Amsterdam experience... let me know if you have any ideas on what and where I should spend my time! Thanks n Peace

I go to Amsterdam as often as possible and here are some good hints:

First, go to the Grey Area and pick up a few grams of their keif, called Gray Mist crystals..it is great and for years has been a staple of finer ganja types...sprinkle a little on a joint or smoke it like hash in a small pipe..easier and better than trying to get hash to crumble or twist to put in a spliff.https://www.smokersguide.com/sg/index.html

Then, you MUST go to the Bluebird, which is on the main drag...just keep going past Dam square and it is on the left ..It is upstairs and they have a vast hash selection as well as buds. great soft red couch I spend many hours on...food treats and hot chocolate while twisting a fat and tasty J is a real blast.

Also, go to Hunters bar...it has a coffeeshop that is really first rate. Close to the train station is de kuil, also called 420..and it is a small place but really cool, with vaporizers and a pool table and a great bakery next door..and across the street you can get edible pot goodies.

By all means, try to stay the hell away from the shops that are all crowded around the red light district..most are substandard..but there are a few exceptions as well. Big shops like the Greenhouse and others heavily involved in Cup affairs have top notch goods, but are expensive to a degree. There is a neat little shop called het Baloonetje ( Little Balloon) across from the University of Amsterdam, and it is a great place to kick back with locals and experience the Dutch in their own element.

take tram 9 and get off at the main drag where the zoo is...the name escapes me..and make a right...about 3 blocks down on the right. After you load up there, walk down to the Zoo...it is great!! it has a planetarium and lots of cool shit..especially while blasted..my hotel was on this street and close to the zoo enough to hear the elephants blasting at night!!

Of course take the boat trips and museums...many things to see and do. And dozens..scores..of coffeeshops waiting with buds and hash.

Take a side train trip to Haarlem and go to the shops there,, try Nol's shops..the Indica and Sinsemilla are across town from each other and really great..the Sativa, right near the train station, was shut recently after too much weed was found close by...the cops still hassle owners about having more than 500 grams at a time and that means runners constantly shuffling bundles around all day and night.

I will add more as my memory recovers from 40 years of ganja use..and I will do some research to help you further.

As soon as you get there, go to the tourist office and get an Amsterdam Pass...it is well worthwhile. It gives you unlimited transportation on all modes around town and passes to all major museums and boat rides, as well as dozens of other benefits. No red Couch anymore (it´s now a tobacco smoking area), but still a great coffeshop with great Black Hash Selection, their Dhaula Giri is a must try.
You should also visit the Dampkring in Haarlemmerstraat, or the Katsu wich is located near Sarphatipark.

I´ll second that, go to the Willi Wortels shops, really cool guys and excellent bud.

sorry but why do people bother replying with comments like this, the original poster is askin about dam, not suggestions of anywhere else to go, do u even consider that were this guy is travelling from it might cost him upwards of 4 x more to just get to so-cal!? no! he wants to go to dam, cos dam is a special place were u can openly smoke dope in a coffeeshop..can u do this in socal ..no. sorry but there is much more to dam than just weed.
, it seems anytime anyone asks anything about dam you get at least one clever clogs comin out with this sorta thing, we know there is nice weed in so cal but get over it! sorry bit grumpy this morning!

Try Amnesia. Good place to buy and smoke. Very chill.

Grey Area is a great place to buy and fly. Take your smoke to Vondel Park. Find a nice, discreet bench/tree/grassy spot by the pond and have a puff. You will know why you came to Amsterdam.

If you are South of the city, Katsu is a local's favorite. They are known for the hasj.

Sorry Pall... So Cal is way to far lol i'm UK Grower! Also someone said Nimbin...wtf that's in Australia, I was there in 03, kinda riffy place, OK ish weed! horrible locals.
Anyway back to Amsterdam.... I've had some quality reply's via Private messages and in the thread! My pall is taking me to Dampkring opposite popeyes(sumthin like that) to start our mission, and for breakfast, as we get there early, he says they do an amazing bacon toasty!
