Air conditioner as de-humidifier question
My new operation will be a vertical grow with 2x 1000w HPS in cooltubes.
So... the lamp cooling system is to have separate, sealed intake and exhaust to the outdoors. It's too hot here in the summer to ventilate with outdoor air, therefore I'm having a split AC unit installed and will be using CO2. Here's my question then. With 200 4litre pots of coco in there transpiring away, will the AC unit be able to manage the humidity? And what about when it's cooler and I don't need AC? What manages my humidity when there's no need for AC? Can I run it just as a dehumidifier by keeping the temperature setting high? Any help would be appreciated. Cardinal |

If you have an adequate AC unit a dehumidifier won't be necessary. Good luck. Peace GS

I would disagree.
You could try it with just A/C, it works sometimes but not usually. You probably won't have the A/C running much during lights off. A dehumidifier will make things much easier. |
