Talking Back At IT! Growing Again!

Well, just got the green light tonight, to go ahead and set up and run an indoor grow again, except w/ "legal" plants this time lol. I have been on a "vacation" for a bit, due to a move and getting a good place to live, so I can't grow what I actually want to grow. But tonight, after some negotiating, I got the ok to start a regular "legal" garden! I am pretty fucking excited to be honest, as I have been having garden withdrawl lol.

I have a ton of reading to do here now, kind of embarrassing to say this, but I have no idea how to grow anything except cannabis, never even tried to grow anything else! But since I can't grow that at the moment, I am going to take advantage of what I can do now, and that's this.

Don't really know the point of this post, sorry, just excited and can't wait to get going. Part of it, is that I am ithching to get my LC Mix going, w/ the Nute regiment that has nutes all in the soil, from the "organics" section in the grow section. I plan on starting this mix, and using it for veggies, then recycling it, from what I have read, the mix gets better the more you use it, and by the time I can start to grow my dope again, it should be tip top. It will help me out alot, so that I won't have to start w/ fresh batch, and it will allow me to discover the intricacies of the mix as well and the recycling part. God damn! I can't wait!
I will be growing in my old 4x4 tent, but w/ only 1 of my 400s, MH I guess? Basically my setup from when I was growing before the move minus a 400.

If anyone has any tips, advice before I jump into this pool to learn how to swim, I am all ears! Without knowing squat, I am thinking that I will just start some tomato plants, maybe some peppers, may do some experimenting w/ something in a hempy bucket as well since I have the never been used GH nutes, but mainly I want to start practicing w/ the organic mix and grow method outlined in the organics section. Since this is the way I am going to go once I can get back to my beloved dope plants. I know that B1 had said in those threads that he uses that mix and nutes w/ all of his plants, so that is exactly what I am going to try.

Well that's that, I welcome any tips, advice, or suggestions on anything. I am sure I will learn alot of new things growing legal veggies and shit, but I am really more excited about being able to establish my "oganic" grow method prior to being able to start my real fun garden. Hopefully I can take this opportunity to 1. Combat boredom
and 2. Learn learn learn.
and 3. Grow some yummy shit too!

LOL
Thanks guys, really excited! Kind of funny, never thought I would be so happy to grow...veggies? But yeah, I will get a grow log together and detail it exactly like my previous "cool" grow log lol. It'll be funny at the very least. Not nearly as fun to harvest and use, but funny. If it weren't against forum rules, I would create another user ID, and put the grow log in the regular area, and insist that it's all different strains of cannabis and be really dumb about it lol.
I can assure you this though, whatever I do, they will be the tastiest, most awesome bomb ass veggie ever lol! At least that anyone around me has ever seen lol!

I guess, you could say that the veggies, are really a "cover" for what I am really gonna be growing, my soil. Just gives me a good reason to be building it and what not, I cannot fucking wait! My son is fucking jacked up about it too. It will be a good thing for him, and me, that way when he talks about "daddy's garden" it will actually be a legal veggie garden lol. When he was in preschool, I stupidly let him hang out w/ me not thinking anything of it, (18ish months ago) and he told his pre-school teacher at the time, that, "My daddy grows trees in the garage!" DOH!

I actually find tomatoes to be much like the herb... I grow way more varieties than I ought to every year and amass a pile of keepers over time. Then something bad happens and I have to start over with new and ever-more-exciting seeds.

You should do some closet breeding with veggies, for a roarin' good time.

Really, now tell me something here.
With tomatos, (like I said, I know squat) what is the trigger for them to fruit? And they aren't like cannabis, in the fact that they continue to live as long as you care for them right? Like I said, I got a shit ton of learning/reading to do on this topic, and I will, but is that correct? I know people that grow them outdoors, but like right now, there plants are dying and shit, but again, that's the weather right? Tomatoes are probably gonna be the first thing I do, I know that they need some room though, and can get kind of unruly depending on the variety, this is gonna be a fun little adventure.
Like I said, even if I kill alot of plants, the important thing for me is that I get my soil correct and have it ready to go so that when I can start growing cannabis again, it's ready. But just the same, I would like to grow them well too.

I've never done 'em indoors... but I think they do just fine in a sunny spot or a 'standard' 12/12 garden setup. You may have to do a little manual pollenation, but as I understand it that just consists of flicking flowers from time to time.

Do some cooking herbs too, they're pretty useful daily and it's all veg...
