20 mil.
i did see a gent who had built up the floor of the room slightly to allow a drain for run off and clean up, etc.. drain line right to sump pump....may work for emergency applications also, make changing rez very easy if drain is right there.....i think it is a good idea if you can do it.....

I know this is about pond liner, but i figured i'd chime in...i've used Shower curtains as my floor liner for EVER. Works like a charm, and its pretty much exactly what they were made for. The are pretty think, and i haven't ripped/torn one yet. Plus they are cheap as fuck if you do happen to mess one up. Just food for thought.

Thanks for the shower liner idea. That would be a good pick for small grows.

ive used tarps in my day... they are cheap..
pond liner would be ideal though because it isnt easily ripped, like tarps or shower curtains...just a little pricier .. |

home depot sells pond liner in the garden section by the roll, its way to expensive though, lowes saved me like $40 bucks. After comparing 5.5mil panda to 45mil pond liner i think you will be fine in the middle. Plus if pico says its ok it prolly is considering he got me to switch to pond liner and that dude es muoy intelligent

Using a pond liner is also useful if you want to eventually seal your room - you just tape the polyvinyl to the pond liner & voila! It's definitely worth protecting your floor, saves you a lot of work if something leaks or spills.
