Storing Your Medium?

Hello everyone. I'm going to be running a SOG style grow with seperate cabs
for vegging and flowering.
To make a long story short, I'm planning to harvest about 6 plants every 2 to 3 weeks depending on how fast they root. There's quite a bit of involvement in tending
to your garden with this style. I'm someone who likes to be somewhat prepared as I'm sure alot of you are.
I was wondering how everyone stores there premixed mediums??
I'm going with Promix HP,perlite, worm castings and Earth Juice nuits.
Peace

All my mediums are organic and HIGHLY microbially active. When you have volatile mediums like this (basically all strong organic mixes) there are two ways to store it:

Live or Dry

If you're looking to just store for a few weeks then live is fine. Get the organics mixed up as desired and then make sure to dope it with pleanty of dormant beneficial microbes. The microbes will wake up and start to consume the organic material, thus stabilizing it. This beneficial life will fight off bugs and pathogens and other nasties that would love to take up residence in that fresh organic matirial.

If you need to store for longer then you must make sure your mix is DRY. Get it as dehydrated as possible, less than 10% water at a minimum, under 5% is preferred. A good strong organic mix will keep for months, perhaps years, so long as it is dry enough. It must be kept very dry in storage and protected from all moisture and humidity. As soon as that stuff gets wet enough it will spring to life immediately, and the life that springs fourth is rarely the kind you want.

Good luck with your high-maintenance grow style, hope this info helps!
