Too bad there's no muskys around here in Europe, but I'm enthuastic pike fisherman
Can you believe it that just 2 weeks ago I was walking home stoned after smoking some good himalayan gold and it was -22 ºF and I'm gonna start my open water fishing season just aprox. 1 month from this on?? I wish I could come to states fishing muskys n taste sum of those buds of yours. My record pike was +44 inches CR

I've done some musky fishing. But I'm a fair weather fisherman so I really haven't been at the best times. Hence, the ones I've caught have been small. Got a lot of big pikes though.

Cool

used to have them in a lake near here, but they never successfully spawned, & the state quit stocking them. hooked a couple of larger ones, but never landed one. biggest was a 17"er i landed while crappie fishing with 4# test line, LOL! loved to see the bigger ones boil up & hammer a top water plug or spinner...

Congrats on getting it in with only 4lb test. But for a muskie, 17" is a baby.

Cool

yes, "baby" is right! saw them over 40# caught out of lake, helped a fellow land one near 20#. hooked several that were a LOT bigger than 17", LOL! when the shad balled up on surface in the fall, you could see the damn things hanging around the schools. getting them to hit was not that difficult, keeping them hooked up was a bitch... AOH
