Denmark is considering a new law that would ban aggressive breeds, such as pit bulls and mastiffs, but an MP has gone one step further and suggested that all cross-breeds should be killed. An estimated 40,000 mongrels are born in Denmark each year and a general cull would sentence to death hundreds of thousands of animals.
But Flemming Moller, from the governing Liberal Party, is steadfast in his calls for a mass slaughter. "We will surely see lots of press photos of sweet little puppies being put down but we must be determined," he told the Economist

This Moller guy should have the snot kicked out of him, what an evil piece of sh-t.

PETA Assholes.Just yesterday watched Ceasar Milan work with a very aggressive Pit successfully. The humans were the idiots,not the dog. My JRTs can be just as aggressive as a Pit,they are just smaller. Humans fuck everything up. And I still hate Vick................

This is just politics at the lowest level guys. The politicians here just finished their summerbreak, but during that break lightweight issues get frontpage. Issues like this contaminates the political debate during summer every year, unfortunatly now that this silly shit debate is around it needs to be finished.

dogs use to be for work, now they have become our "pet". I think 95% of people are not even qualified to own a dog, there lack of knowledge and a society created on " I want that now" makes people not realize how much work a dog really is..

do you have 5K sitting around in case of a big surgery?
do you have extra monthly money in case a problem develops and have to get meds every month?
do you work at home or work for 8 hours?
does your dogs breed get enough exercise every day?
do you know dog behavior?
do you know how to socialize a dog?
do you even know your breeds history?
.. ....

to want to stop mix breed is a fine thing, mix breeds come from lack of respect / knowledge / care / want of money.. to accomplish that by killing them is not fine. But I believe if you have to have a license to drive, why not have a license to own a dog, breed a dog.. to get a license for a dog will stop 95% of people from getting a dog, and the ones who get a license will really want / have the knowledge / can support for a dog.

I would estimate 95% of people don't even have money for top quality dog food ( usually 50-60 for a 40 pound bag ). this is similar to people popping out kids and knowing nothing about kids, and even lacking the funds to support a kid. well can't stop stupid people..

but getting back to the original post, the problems lie's in people, not dog

Yup unfortunately this is true....BUT..its just a proposal. During the summer a disturbing number of incidents involving these "fighting breeds" has led to the government being forced to change the laws. By forced i mean that the media stirred up the whole thing to astronomic proportions, thus causing a frenzy among the general citizens. Ppl are demanding that action i now taken. I do believe though, that that wont mean that we need to fear that our dogs will be put down...i think it will end up with a number of breeds being banned, and that existing individuals might face sterilization. Furthermore all dogs not registered are subject to confiscation and will probably be put down in that case. It will be an attempt to extinguish these breeds from Denmark slowly as they think that they can stop ppl from breeding these dogs this way. It will only make problems worse!!!!
Heres my boys Lenny and Kalle....i swear that no one will touch these dogs, be it for castration or anything else!!
