Hello all , I taught Id start a thread for people in Ireland who have been caught in possession of Small Quantities of Herbal Cannabis or Hash (Lets say a Ounze or less).. From reading through the forums here some people would have you think we are living in Iraq and not Ireland when it comes to getting caught with a bit of spliff..You can expect a fine thats it !! maybe 200e could be more tho average is about 300e and a lecture in court about the dangers of smoking cannabis , bla bla bullshit , your talking outta your ass '' your honour '' . Why some people here are exaggerating on this is beyond me , we should be giving accurate info to help people and not over exaggerated bulls*it..Even if you have been caught more than once with the Herb as I know of people who have been caught several times and NONE OF THEM have ever done time over it..The facts are our prison system simply hasnt got the room for people/stoners with these minor offences , so if your caught more than once you can expect a bigger fine and some community service but not porridge...You might even get away with getting caught with a gram or 2 depending on the Guard and how you deal with him/her.If you look like a scumbag and dress like one too well you wont stand much of a chance..Image with cops is everything and nobody likes hoody scum and reebok classics..

The cultivation of the herb is a different ballgame and a number of factors will come into play if your caught growing - like how many plants you had , if you have previous this will come into play so you might do some porridge in these situations especially if they think you have been growing to supply your area..

You might have say 4 plants growing in your back lawn and you have never been in trouble with the law before and you get caught with your plants near mature , 9 times outta ten you will get off with a fine or suspended sentence or C Service , if it happens again well then you more than likely you will go down as your first time was the warning 2nd time will be punishment..Now if you had 40/50 plants and its your 1st time with no previous you could get time as you cannot say it was personal supply , it just wont wash with a judge..

The facts are this Cannabis Prohibition law has gone to far , I know my local town every weekend between the hours of 10pm-5am is like Baghdad due to alcohol , stabbings , rubbish , screaming , fighting , abuse , urinating on shop fronts, rape etc and general society at its worst and not able to focus and thats cool eh.. While the stoner is at home with his family and friends doing things he/she likes and not conforming to these tabboos of our modern society!!..I cant stand Drunks can you ?

So anybody with true storys of getting caught share your experience here and name the Judge who dealt with you and the court district so we can build profiles on what way judges are dealing with this in your area!

Please keep the thread informative and no bulls*hit lies , even if you havent had this happen to you but know a friend and you can share there story here please do..

Or as most people with half a brain will do is ask for there solictor upon arrest and keep their mouth shut till he arrives , keep the subject of the thread relevant coz Ive seen that link not once or twice but a hundred times on here and its getting old and always stays the same ya know !!

Eh ok, none of my own personal experience here but I know of several people who were caught in possession of less than 1/8 and who have been let off with a warning, even given their stuff back. One of them in a 'locked in' pub in Dublin and another in a car in Cork.
Know two others who were summoned on small possessions,not sure of the judge or what but they were let of with attending counselling of some form. Also know a guy who threw away a j as a Garda approached and was taking to Knocka station and had the sh1t kicked into him and then returned home. Scummer like but I saw the damage they did to him and know the Garda in question..
Not amazingly helpful I know but just to get the ball rolling and contribute something. The moral of these stories are I guess that no-one I know caught for possession of 1/8 or so didn't do hard time.
