question about plant size with vertical lights

hi all

trying to get a quick run in in a particular room and only have ~3.5 months to do it. the thing is, i only have 40 babies to start with. 3.5 months total with my strain lets me have 7 weeks total of veg time to allow for proper flowering. 8x600w lights 37 plants, plants setup as show below... i know all strains differ as to how fast they grow but can anyone give me their best guess as to wether 7wks veg for 37 plants is enough for going vertical or not? or should i just save the power consumption and added risk and cut the lights down to 4 and run a traditional horizontal hood grow. its a mostly indica plant. ive never grown with vertical bare hoods and fewer plants with long veg, always larger numbers of plants quick veg so i have no idea what im looking at as far as cost/benefit... i guess what im asking is 7 weeks veg long enough time for 37 indica plants to get big enough to warrant vertical bulbs method?

room would look like this with 8 lights (o) and 37 plants (x)

what strain? hydro/aero/soil?

i think its possible but there is need to hurry up! if you go for soil your schedule is going to be real tight.

Hi apartmentblower i was always told indica/sativa hybrids always work best in vertical because you get some stretch with the plants but with 7 weeks veg i don't see there being a problem with indicas i myself only plan to veg 6weeks from clone only thou.

May i ask what size pots are you planning on using? also i was going to set my room up like how you had in mind but the thing is your planning on using allot of wattage and unless your going to put fans under the bulbs or use A/C ect its gonna be hard/exspensive to cool so many lights in that formation, i personally opted for 2x600w bulbs in the middle with plants circling the bulbs things are more efficiant that way, have you seen super conducters grow? then its just a matter of making as many circles as lights/room size/plants will allow.

Finally what you need to consider is that even indica plants if grown right with the right root stims food ect will be around 1m 20/30cm's tall after 7 weeks veg before going into flower if done right, if so one 600w lamp around a plant will only cater to either the top harf or the bottom if you get me. If the plants are around say 2x600w bulbs in the middle then your exsposing the top and bottom of the plant then all you need do is train the shaded side of the plant round to the front where the light is.
