Poison Ivy?

Anyone have any tips for removing it? The rash's are under control, still itches a bit, but its slowly getting better.

A buddy was over today and we walked the yard looking for it, discovered its along a whole fence line.... probably 20' long. Not very big, mostly ankle height.

From reading online, it seems my only options are Roundup or Brush-b-gone. Other ideas i came across were vinegar, salt and bleach, however from what i gathered these dont kill the roots and it will just come back.

I should add i dont care if anything can ever grow in this spot again, its along a fence (chain).

Round up will kill it, it may take repeat applications. Good advice from goready about the oil still being present after its dead, so be careful. If you eventually want to get rid of the dead limbs, wear long pants and long sleeves and wash up afterward with dawn.

The pharmacist told me to use dawn on it, and it works better than any products made for poison ivy.

I have some right now actually, usually have it somewhere on me all summer, if its not on my face, usually two washings with dawn will get rid of it, just make sure you pour dawn directly on it and rub it in for a while before washing it off.
