Question what method of vertical for better yield

Help me decide please,

Hi sorry about the long explanation but try to visualise what im getting at. Im using 5gal circular pots vegging my plants till there 3ft tall then flicking to 12/12 What method should i hang my lights for maximum yield from vertical plants i have two options that i cant decide upon.

1. Place 6x 3ft (in veg) 5-6ft(in flower) plants around 1x600w hps in the middle moving onto 2 later in flower and have another 2 hps hanging on the outer sides of the plants where no light reaches.

or

2. Place 12x 3ft (in veg) 5-6ft(in flower) plants around 2x600w hps in two circles of 6 plants with lights in the middle moving onto 4xhps later in flower. SNAP the bud sites/branches on the sides where no light hits the plants because the bulbs are in the middle with the plants circling them, fold these branches into the plant and when the plant regenerates they will hopefully grow to the light???

Hope that makes sense what would you do in this situation. thank you for any help received

I would stack the 600's around 10 or 12 plants and see what happens.

Have a look at superconductors vertical grow diary, i'm sure that'll help you if you haven't seen it.

That depends on how the plants grow.Train them forward if the're long enough and or suppliment with some dangling 23-27 watt cfl's.
I would also look at supercropping before I try a screen.Thats me tho

thanx may i ask is diamond Mylar better than normal Mylar? as it doesn't crease ect

pine boy breaking the stems is supper cropping or a form of it ill be basically forcing the stems on the unlit side of the plant forward if they have to snap to do this then all the better as when the stems/branches heal they will be a full 180 heading in the direction of the light. The only reason im thinking of using a screen like superconductor is to stop the plants potentially touching the 2x600w lights and burning the buds im still looking at the link bens lab provided but ive decided already to go with a small gauge screen size some good info in that thread.

Ive started to notice ive wasted allot of time and money on horizontal kit but just about every new grower is steered in that direction it'll be good to try a new method and get rid of allot of heat as well, had to start somewhere i guess. thanx for the continual support.

Yeah Dazz I wasted $$ on my reflector.I knew it as soon as my 400 lit up.I kept it on for about a week.
As far as a screen goes,I will suggest you try a grow without one but use most of the other techniques similer to a scrog grow.Like not moving your plants or rotating, light trimming of fans that are in the way.
I dont use mylar so I really dont have an opinion but white flat paint looks good, last long time
Good luck Dazz
