How can you post a pic of a 2 week old plant and call it a new strain??? You should have to have pics of the bud/plant/etc

Hell i could go thru my room right now and take pics or 20 different plants and call them whatever i wanted too....WHO DOES THAT HELP!

alot of the strains on the strain guide give infomation you find on basicly every seedbank...

back in the day on OG, ya had to have a minimum of grow reports and then submit your work.

i agree just postin up your homemade work is not a strain.

Gotta agree with you bro... However, if you have made some further work with your homemade strain, or released/shared it to public it could qualify

But I wanna see pics in these + some growing conditions that made those plants in the pics

Btw cbf.. I think you have made such "career" and many ppl have sampled your wares that it´s time for you to go and make some reviews :wink:

There's a whole set of rules, just click on the Help Button.

Many strain submissions are not making the grade and aren't being included. About 30% are being rejected as not having enough info.

In the Help section of the strainguide it now states that only commercially available strains can be submitted. No private strains allowed. What's the point of posting a strain no one can ever get except you?

Yes, images would be nice, but they aren't essential in the strain guide. They are far more important in the grow reports to provide visual proof that you actually grew the strain and the results were as you said.

And I remind everyone that a grow report gets submitted under grow reports, not strains.

If you haven't grown it out yet, you can't publish ANYTHING in the strain guide until you have.

One more thing: If the breeder of the strain isn't recognized as one in our Breeder Directory, it won't appear on the IC Strainguide homepage. So if you are new breeder, you should discuss with Gypsy getting your strains listed on Seedboo or Seedbay, then we can add you to our official breeder's list.

Yet another thing: I remind you all that you can RATE the STRAINS in the strainguide. We are accepting ratings from breeders, growers and smokers!

I've been thinking this over...

I would like to include private strains if they include complete info and pix.

The reason for that is even if no one else can get the same genetics, it could encourage others to make the same cross, if the results were favorable.

Does that make sense? Would breeders want to know what others are breeding & the results for their own research?

yeah, hell if you make a cross and name it, post pics of the plant, bud, etc....yes i think it should be included.
