Just drew this up in sketchup. I have to use 150w due to electricity restrictions (not trying to get caught in my off campus apartment). What do you guys think about this? Would it be effective with 150 watts?

im planning a similar concept as u, a vertical colosseum and circular with a 150hps if i can do it. have u thought about useing one of theese https://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct...roductID=53389, and odor should be high on your list, im going to run one of theese for odor https://www.altgarden.com/store/cart....t_detail&p=846 , out of sight, out of the nose, keep your lips sealed and u should be alright.

I think that its gonna need more watts IMHO.

do you have a computer in your "off campus" location?

and if you do, guess what type of wattage that uses.

pump up to a 250/400 watt setup and that thing would SMOKE for sure.

why do you say thats a waste of time? I'm all about max yield, but this is mainly just personal smoke. I feel this would be more efficient than a horizontal grow. with this, I could grow the plants 1 big cola style with a bunch of different type strains.

@medmaker - No I don't have a desktop computer, but I do have a laptop. The reason I say there is an electricity issue is because my electricity is included with the price of the monthly rent there. You pay a fee if you go over a certain amount of your electric bill and my friends that lived there last year said they usually went over by 5 bucks. and thats without a grow setup. I don't know how much more I would go over with a light, ballast, pump, and fans going. I don't want it to be noticible and have the po po knocking on my door

getting good coverage for a 5' tall garden with a 150 would be tough! I think he meant that its a waist of a system for 150 watts. you might be better off going only 1 maybe 2 Y's tall to get descent coverage from a 150.

o gotcha. If I could put 2x 150watts that would be ideal. Other than the light wattage, does that system look ok for a coliseum? i've read that the whole surrounding should be filled with plants and I feel like I should squeeze another column in between all of them

2-150's would be better. Twice as good actually!lol sure you can't squeeze 2-250's out of you elec. budget? It looks good for a bare bone sketch. I'm sure you could get it to work. have you ever grown vert before? How many grows do you have under you belt? I ask because I grew vertically before and probably will again, But I am glad I had the experience I had. which was alot. I don't think I would have such good memories of it if I hadn't.
