Whats this?

This was going fine at .8 ec but I noticed ec was not dropping and I had some sleight interveinal yellow / lime green on new growth, so I dropped ec .7 ec 3 days ago, the plant still has not dropped the ec value on it's own. Since I started I seem to have done nothing but over feed, and since ec is not dropping I am afraid to feed. This burn started showing up recently in the last day and a half, that whole area of the leaf feels really crispy but the rest of the plant looks normal. PH is moving up by like .2 or .3 a day but then again for some reason my buckets seem to do that even without a plant in em.

I just fed and dropped ph to 5.2, ec at .9 now... am I getting hotter or colder here?

If your getting interveinal chlorosis on your new growth, that sounds like root tip damage. Overferting maybe. Ph is too low. Raise ph and reduce ferts. Keep trying. Smooth

Not really, there is yellowing but is mostly happening on older growth, it is starting to look like its using up N, leaf tips starting to point downwards too. but the new growth could be less twisted so I think you are onto something with the PH. It had doubled in size without any nute burn over a week, that was when I was running .8 ec, I dropped to .7 ec and added more light , that was 3 days ago, over the last 3 days its been happening more. The burnt out tip I have a close up of appears to have at least slowed / stopped in response to me adding a lil big bloom and open seseame, I just topped off tho which brought ec back to .8ec and ph to 5.6

If it was overferting I could just add more light right? I am trying to add more light but I though maybe I was way underfeeding for my light source? This plant grew up on 26w cfl daylight now I'm trying to run 2 x 26w cfl daylight and 1 x 26w red spectrum... when I noticed these problems I cut down to just the 2 x daylight 26s

Here is what has changed since I first posted. Plant is 3.5 weeks, what is the ballpark ec I should be at? You think lower than 350 ppm ( .7ec )??

Add as much light as possible. Flourescents should only be a few inches away.

Start with ph.

Kinda low on ferts. Sorry, I don't measure my ferts that same as you. 700ppm for you to try? Plants are terribly small for that age. Not sure what else to tell you...

Tinker with lighting, temperature, circulation (air), etc... Tons of variables... I see plants and rocks. Plants need water/solution. See where I'm going? Root rot? Tons of variables. Correct ph and go from there.

I dont understand half your post but let me pack up a salad bowl and get back to that.

Not trying to grow micro, trying to grow 1 lb w/ 4 plants stagerred harvest under a 600w cool tube. I know the plants aren't exactly jack & the beanstalk yet, even if I harvest 1g from 4 plants I'll still be contempt that I am learning something new here.

I will increase ec to 1.4 which is 700 ppm If it burns I can always back off without flushing, thats the great part about hydro. I had a hunch I was way under feeding but my track record has been nothing but over feeding! PH was also not helping most likely. If the plant over reacts trust me I'll post back!

I had the same problem, I was over feeding and to add to that I had a flan blowing on them non stop and I think it dried them out....I was not checking my humidity levels and it was very dry in my room....so a combo of dry air and to much fert caused it to happen very fast. just a thought. Mine looked almost identical....I actually thought you stole my pic..LOL
