The original prop 215 voter information pamphlet said there would be no fiscal effect on the state. Taxing the medicine was never part of the deal.

I think taxing it makes it more legit and shows people that marijuana being legal can be a good thing.

It does suck seeing patients having to foot the bill. Luckily the tax isn't enough to break a patients wallet.

Worst case situation, if you ever have problems paying for medicine there are plenty of dispensaries that will help you out.
