Veg under horizontal and flower under vertical?

Have you done this and did it work out?
I vegged under horizontal CFL and when I moved to a vertical HPS one of them didn't make it. I don't know if it was the vertical or the HPS that it didn't like.
If they can handle the move for low plant count vertical grows it seems like the way to go, since vertical stretching seems good to fill in all the space at the top of the room.

both. change angles. change plant positions.

most important step in vegging is thinning and pruning the plant to desired branches and shoots.

select strongest genetics, phenos, and ultimately strongest branch and strongest shoot(s). w/ that degree of selection, the cultivar will thrive in either config. this is where knowing specific cultivar comes into factoring.

eliminate phenos that dont evolve to thrive in either situation.

enjoy your garden!
