Issack-- I too am a hophead Due to some ridiculous lack of planning the industry is suffering a hop shortage and prices have rocketed so I have taken it upon myself to grow my own (dunno where I got that logic??) Anyway I'm wondering if hops grow well there, I'm guessing it'd be damn near perfect for em!! Maybe some irrigation but still with a stable climate I'd think you could have amazing results....
I was wondering how the hell I was paying $10 a bottle of Sculpin IPA or some good West Coast hop beer, Mr Mustard, one day I'm going to ask you a question or 2 about what I should get to start up, sweeet thread!

Din Mor -- Welcome to IC

Moldy -- You should start both brewing and growing hops!! Your beer will be cheaper and better than any nice IPA you can buy... it just takes time. Take the plunge.

I just picked my cascades yesterday... I love fresh hop cones

I have two floating in my glass right now actually, it's impressive how one cone really perks up an ale.

I've pretty much decided I'm going to make cascade my house hop for this brewing season.

If you ever get a chance to try the Saint Arnold's Elissa, oh man.. good stuff!

Just bottled a batch of IPA, first batch I've done in about 4 years.

Felt good to get the gear out of storage and make the house smell like heaven.

Built an immersion wort chiller with about 25' of 3/8 copper line, just coiled it around one of my soda kegs. Worked like a charm.

I'll be brewing again soon, and will post up some "head" shots!

It's always nice to dust off the wonka gear isn't it?

My first immersion chiller was wound around a five gallon bucket but a five gallon keg fits more pots

Glad you found that out early lol

Hey there guys.!! I'm so worthless at being steady in a forum site.. sheesh. lol

I have not skipped a beat with brewing.

I'm glad to see so many people coming up to this thread that brews or has interest.. Awesome guys keep it up.!!

here are some pics of my last brew.. this is a Belgian beer. I split this batch in two separate 8 gal fermenters. one using a Trappist yeast and the other using a Sason.. it's one of my faves for sure.. I add a 1056 ale yeast with the saison cause it's an unpredictable yeast as far as attenuation..

My chill room is my grow room.. stays cold in there.. makes for good storage for beer as well in the bottle..

pulled over one of my outdoor Bubbledust plants for the pic.. hehe beer and weed.. how can it get any better.?
