I've been brewing for ten years off and on and about six years steady. That looks like a big batch! I'm guessing you're kegging it

No I actually sit down and bottle all of it in 22oz brown bottles.. It goes pretty fast with 22s.. bot bottling that many still is kind of a pain. lol I have most of my kegging set up ready. Space issues is the deal at the moment. I want to eventually keg some and bottle as well..

Good to see you are still around Mean M.and brewing as well.!! Hope all has been good.

So is that a twenty gallon batch or what?

About to siphon off a 6g glass carboy full of 'lala lager' right now It's our own extract and adjunct recipe. Nothing special, just good quality ingredients and a live octoberfest yeast. A bit warm around here for that yeast right now, but we got a nice slow first fermentation (cross fingers). Me and my girlfriend make all our beer. If you order ingredients on line, even extracts and adjunct recipes can be half the price of budweiser. It always comes out great, just like any other homegrown.

Yours is an all grain setup right? That's got to be satisfying. I've only done that a few times in big coolers. Harder than extracts but so much fun, and cheaper.

Mean Mustard. yeah i hear you.. i have a big chest freezer with a temp controller on it that i store beer and mead in.. but i got it got the purpose of kegging in it.. I've been lazy and spending more money on my new grow room before i jump back on the keg freezer ( keezer ) thing.. lol. but it's what i am going to do next. I do 15gal batches of beer at a time.. i need to start kegging for sure.

Mr Greengenes it's good to see you again man.! been some years. nice to see you brew too..

Yes i do all grain. and i make a 6 hour day out of it when i brew a batch of beer.. but yes it is fun and well worth the end result .. I have a beer supply guy right down the street from me, who is a master brewer and national award winning brewer. so i have good info. Alot of good brewers in the homebrew club here..

I like hops.. so when i do a Big IPA i usually do a pound of hops in my 15gal brew.. i dry hop with about 4 oz sometimes in the 15g conical. cost me about 95 dollars.. gives me over 5 cases of beer.

I have also recently been into Belgian beers.. i just did a Belgian Wit with 3 pounds of honey( for extra alc. and also gives a nice tone at the end and a hint of honey taste ) and split the brew in two and used a sason yeast and a trapist in the other... good stuff

my main beers i brew is my heavy on the chocolate roast side robust Porter. My American pale ale. a hoped up brown ale. and now this new belgian thing..

Then of course i have meads that are bottled ..and about 30+ gallons in carboys .. some since last year.. Mead is so fun to do.. it takes a while.. but so rewarding.. I do only fruit meads.

Good to see you guys are into it. I'm surprised more have not responded.. Maybe we can get people to start brewing more on here.. lol

Issack-- I too am a hophead Due to some ridiculous lack of planning the industry is suffering a hop shortage and prices have rocketed so I have taken it upon myself to grow my own (dunno where I got that logic??) Anyway I'm wondering if hops grow well there, I'm guessing it'd be damn near perfect for em!! Maybe some irrigation but still with a stable climate I'd think you could have amazing results....

filo6942-- I just need to know what style you want to brew and I'll cook ya one up
