Dwc buckets in vertical setup. (rotate or not???)

Hey everyone, i'm new to this forum and have a vertical setup almost 1 week into flower as we speak. I have 5 5gal dwc buckets surrounding my light and i've been rotating them 1/2 turn daily to get even coverage. My question to you guys is, should i be rotating them or is it better to leave them be and grow towards the light??? I've heard differing opinions about this. Some say if u rotate, that it confuses the plant and slows growth due to having to redirect the hormones to the opposite side of the plant. I'm looking for maximum yield, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Btw, my lights are a 400hps at the bottom and a 600hps inline directly above it, both cool tubed with a 440 vortex exhausting the heat.

I wouldn't rotate your plants. I would let them grow naturally towards the lights. Whenever you can, bend your plants and branches into the general shape you want. This will make them concentrate their growing on the light side. You can also trim the backside, but i would do that last, first try lsting.

So, kind of try to lst the back branches toward the front, possibly making it more of a "flat" plant, instead of 2-3' wide bush?

Yes, your 600 doesn't penetrate that far into the plant, so you want to help the plant out by spreading its branches towards the light.

I agree, Don't turn them, train the back branches forward and grow a one sided plant.

get some chicken wire, make a circle and train the buds into it, when properly done ridiculous harvests can be made because all potential budsites are getting equal amount of exposure... Our friends overseas are quite gifted in the area of the hydro c-scrog

Ok, i lst'd all the back branches to the sides last night. Thanks for the advise, everyone. And next time around, i'm gonna do the v-scrog setup, to make them completely flat. Since this is my 1st time going vert, i didnt want to change too many things at once, so i know what worked and what didn't.

I went ahead and cut some chicken wire today, to make a vscrog. Tonight i'm gonna wire tie them to the main stem, and start training the side and rear branches to fill it out. I'll take some pics when its done.

I rotate mine. I know everybody says not to but I do it anyway. It seems to add a week or two to the flowering time but you don't get a one-sided plant.
