Rectangular shaped closet
Hey guys,
I'm really kind of newbie on vertical but I believe in this system and I hope to find somebody helpful in here to address a seldom seen issue... My question is: I've got a space which is not round or square but rectangular (in flat terms). The usable space is 96x56x200 cm (a bit less than 3x2x7), do you believe a vertical grow is still technically doable and will it yield more than going horizontal? My idea is that, by going vertical, you probably have more area for buds, especially in case you don't let the plants stretch. Moreover, avoiding the use of a reflector, temperature benefits as well, which should in turn affect quality. Having said this I believe hence that, by using a CMH and something like cocoslabs with a bluemat irrigation system (kind like a top autopot) and a top reservoir, one could create a nice system yielding much more and qualitatively better weed than a horizontal setup. What do you think about this? Has anyone experience with a similar rectangular setup? Have you found on forums any grow log which shows a similar setup? In the space above-mentioned, were would you put the lamp, central or nearer to the front doors? What is the minimum distance from doors a 400w CMH could be safely kept? Would you go with that for a 7 feet high closet or would you do 800w with 2 lamps or 750w with 3 250w CMH? Hope somebody can speak out on this, sorry for my English, but I'm not mothertongue. |

If i were you, I would do more of a stadium/V-SOG grow, with one 400w/600w depending on plant number. Have the stands be 1.5' and 2' wide, and of course have 2 of them.
