WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL RUNNING WINDOWS?! I'm going to loose it pretty soon here, honestly. I am speechless. Uterly speechless. If you care at all about security then Windows is the LAST thing you should be running. Erase your hard drive NOW and install Linux. It is the ONLY way. It is simple. Faster. Secure. Reliable and free (the code too). Need I say more? Seriously, people need to educate themselves. You have no idea the danger and the risk you put yourselves in by running Windows. I don't even know if it is possible to emphasize this enough. Commercialism is the babylon system. Resist the monopoly corporatate empires and embrace the freely available open source methods! Google and most of the Internet servers run Linux because of its security and reliability, why don't you? Linux is so much better, it is free because it's creator wants to protect the public from evil corporate empires, it is better in so many ways compared to conventional commercial operating systems. Windows is the worst operating system available, it is the bottom of the line, it is only popular due to advertising. Don't be a fool for advertisements. Run Linux. It is better than anything available. If you need more info, just ask or go to www.debian.org if you feel like reading for yourself.

Windows does suck.... but since 90% of the applications written out there are for the x86 architecture.... ill stick with what I got.

I use plenty of Windows software that has problems with windows let alone Linux. yes I have Linux used oit for an internet terminal. No serious bussiness applications that are mainstream. I have friends with apple computer and forget about it.
If I used this computer just for the internet alone than fine, but like many others, this is just one of many uses for this machine. thanks for the heads up. Avid |
