New to growing, need AF advice

Ok, so I have decided that my first grow will consist of auto flower strains. I plan on building a grow box with a 400w cool tube and a bunch of plants in 1 gallon buckets.

I plan on going organic so the only thing I have to do is water them.

Is there any kind of training that you do with autoflowers to increase yield? Also, do you have to train it a certain way to grow in 1 big cola or is that just how AF strains grow?

As far as watering goes, I plan on having a lot of plants so I wanted to buy some sort of auto-watering system. Do you guys have any recommendations on auto-watering systems for around 20-40 plants?

I found the claber oasis, but do you guys think this would work?

thanks in advice for your answers

My experience with AF´s is that you can get away with 1 gal pots but if you go for 3 gal you will see the difference when it comes to harvest time.

Your going to need more space than 1 gallon pots. You can do the standard LST of tie downs etc. on Autos.

Reading this thread may be beneficial in helping with your selections as well as additional info

All autos grow differently some short stocky some large. Look at the thread above it has that kind of information to help you make selections for what works for you.

Auto-watering doesn't seem to be necessary unless your not going to be around.

lst those bitches.. aside from that, dont make any mistakes along the way, your only gonna get around 14-25 days veg time,, each day counts. the seedling stage with autos seems to be about a few days behind regular seeds in my experience so if they seem a little slow in the begining dont worry.

You are going to need more than 400w, I run a 400w cooltube does 4 auto's brill, 6 ok 8 at a push but not 20-40,

LST works but not topping, no time to regen before flowering.

Also, use a long pot, Auto's root deep, the ones I have harvested or killed (male) have all had root masses at the bottom of the pot with the top 40-50% of the pot unused, their is an excellent thread on this in the Auto forum, plaudits to whoever posted it.
