Thumbs up Bleu Streak seed variation-uber stealth-and intro

Hi all! Hello Mdanzig! Been growing for many years now...more intensely after 911 when the border tightened up. Have chatted with Joint Doctor in the past regarding lowryder seed production, genetics and improving the overall quality and possibilities of the end product. I have never posted here but I have ordered many times from Seed Boutique (with good results every time except one confiscated order or Double Gum and whatever freebie I lost out on)and used to participate on OverGrow a few years back before it went down and I took a 2 year break from growing. Now gettign ready to start up again with my own genetics saved of course from the best seeds of the best plants I have been able to obtain over the years. I don't really like competitive bullshit or to put anyone's grow attempts down but if I can help or offer any useful, positive, productive advice; that's what I am here for. Oh yeah, I gotta get a digital camera to share my progress but my goals are to grow out some Blue Streak seed I just got in on Monday. I paid a little extra for Uber-stealth because of my last confiscated order and because I really wanted to try these seeds. The original pack was not shipped either and instead I got a plastic baggie with printed info in the standard package but my order arrived lightning FAST! fastest order via snail mail so far! Good timing over the Holiday although one of the freebie Mazar-i-Sharif beans is for sure non-viable but the other 4 are on good hands. The BS seeds show some strong variation from 2 big hard shell seeds to several smaller almost black seeds that look like they came from old school sativa bag seed although I am pretty sure most good growers know seed size, shape, color are not the primary indicators of good genetics or larger plant size ... as long as they are not premature, non-viable or carry seedborne pathogens. Will start some next week when the coast is clear and I can work synchronize with my friends male pollen harvesting schedule.

I was inspired to post after reading the progress and projects everyone especially Mdanzig has going on and decided to participate. Funny how good minds think alike for example, I was planning on trying to cross some AF straing with Bog's Sourbubble BX's and also with my older femenized seed and Orange bud variants for some outdoor hash in small quantities. I look forward to seeing everyone take Lowryder to the next level and I salute all the good folks who have risked practically everything to get us all there. Peace and keep it green.

Oh yeah, in the future I plan to share a few (still theoretical) tips and tricks for cloning AF strains, producing strong true breeding Males in ONE generation etc. I hope to learn from everyone else as well.

It saddens me that I even need to come here and point this out, again.

OK, an update. I took my pack of 10 Blue Streaks. Picked out the two smallest least viable looking ones in the pack and put them in a small shot glass of distilled water for 24 hours. After 24 hours, I shook the glass like a typhoon and both babies sunk to the bottom. That's a good sign. I then prepared the soil and a couple of small cups to start them off in. When I next looked, the two poorest looking seeds had cracked and were already well into germination. I buried them about half an inch into the soil because I did not have jiffy pellets handy a this time and am now waiting for them to pop out of the soil. Using 6500k fluoro as close as possible and nothing but distilled water for now. Wish I had a camera. I ma hoping for a male and female to make some seeds for now. I try to collect pollen using the straw methed of taking the kind of straws used to stir coffee and putting the pollen in it then burning the ends, then placing this strraw into a fatter straw like for soda pop, then going burning the ends of it etc. Then into the freezer into seperate containers for what in the computer world we call "distributed parity". When a female is located then she gets the paintbrush treatment and meticulous labeling! Need more seed! As many as possible!

Ok, one seedling of the least viable looking ones is up and doing great. The other did not make it. Either I buried it too deep in soil, should have used jiffy pellets or justa plain ol dud but I am happy. Tonigh I'll start another and do one at a time until I have what I want. Besides it's best to let the females geta little bigger first anyways. Perhaps the dud seedm ight justpop up out of nowhere if I wait a while. Usually with traditianal seed I alternate spraying a very lightly dilluted 3 equal (one capful per gallon of distilled h20) parts GH mix followed next by Nitrozime without the Agri2 wetting agent until the seedlings pop up then I add teh wetting agent. I also pour and left over KLN mixture in the soil to boot root production. These seeds should be fun to play with if they really perform as reported to do so. I hope so. Perhaps i will wait a week or two to start more.

OK seeds 3 and 4 popped up like in 24 hours! Remeber I am going from smallest least viable looking and saving the best looking seeds for last. My first 2 seeds 2 weeks ago were soaked for 24 hours and the soil was crappy so only 1 popped up and looking great; now ready for transplant! These next 2 seeds were soaked only for 12 hours in distilled water and the soild prepped 2 days ahead. I buried them, not too shallow and not too deep and last night they popped up at midnight and 12 hours later I have the first set of leaves. SO now I have 6 good looking seeds saved, 1 casualty, and 3 plants of Blue Streak. Thanks MDanzig! BTW, I love Misfits, Samhain, Danzig too along with Black Flag, Minor Threat, Fugazi and my favorite band is/was Jawbreaker!

The leaf crinle fixes itself though. When you spray them with distilled water. Are the stems purple? Can't tell from the pics. Roots are showing on my eldest one so I am getting ready to transplant with the precaution that it might be male or female and I NEED both at this point. Mine look about the same except my older one which has a purple stem and indica-like + super tight internodes! Thanks for sharing. I would borrow a camera but I don't trust anyone! I actually DO have some old pics of all the stuff I used to post on Overgrow but when it got busted I archived and encrypted everything and it's not handy but I will share more stuff later. My goal is to make a Blue Streak x Blue Thunder! For starters anyways.

Oh yeah for collecting pollen I simply use a 1 gallon empty plastic jug of distilled water, cut some of the top off, just enough to transplant into confortably and recycle the rest of the plastic to make plant labels with a sharpie marker and I leave about a little more than half the gallon with the handle on it but with a slit down the inner side middle made with some special Lexan cutting scissors for cutting model airplanes and plastic model car parts. I leave the handle so I can train LST thigmomorphogenesize https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thigmomorphogenesis the stem of the males to grown inside along the handle and when pollen drops I can capture sterile clean pollen. Also I can pretreat the plastic with fungicide and see the roots. Make sure to punch sucfficient drainage holes in the bottom and maybe even place a layer of perlite before adding soil and transplanting.

I used to use a sterilized glass Mexico coke bottle with water in it and leave put the main male stem in it and shake it every few hours to oxygenage the h2o but this made a mess and caused too much moisture and unwanted pollination.
