this is my plan for a grow box any suggestions? If you have any questions because of my poor artwork let me know everything is to scale. The lights and grow space are completely separated so i don't have to filter the smell out of the heated light air. Im doing dwc with 5 plants all the same strain at a time.

Interesting , looking good , for a first grow your going all out , vert and hydro .

You have low watts so the ballasts wont get super hot , my 70 watt only just gets warm .

I'd raise the fan cooling the vert light in case of water leak's

no pics exept the bmp. I have everything I need exept the box which I will be building with my good friend next week. I already remote ballasted the 2 lights and can't wait. Yea Im going all out for a first grow because I have been researching for years and Its the only logical setup I have seen that addresses 2 fundametal limitations, Heat and directional light intesity.I think this will yield enough for me. I will be using a 150 watt hps and a 70 watt hps for the flowering room hopefully with the vert setup they will be enough for some good yields. Also I plan on upgrading in the future so Im going to over do it for my current setup for a 400 or 600 later on thanks for the advice with the fan I will put it in the top of the duct to suck the hot air right out then as I agree with that hazard.

Were always tweaking our rooms

The theory is keep the fan on the blow side of light {heat source} this helps promote fan life as it keeps the bearings etc cooler

what about the 400watt and the 125 cfl?

thanks guys ^^ I have learned everything I know from nice growers like you on many forums researching a long time without the possibility of growing. Now the opportunity has presented itself and I wish to cultivate a strain I can actually call my own. Altho I hope someone beats me to it. Im even going to go to collage for genetics horticulture and botany muhahahahaha. I want to take the perennial type strain called big bad john and cross it until I can make it 4 foot tall and higher yealding mould and desiese resistant and completely naturalized then Im gonna feed a crap load of birds the seeds muhahahaha and dump em in streams ect.. it will spread like wild fire. Nobody will get in trouble if they can walk outside and pick some nuggs all summer. "they slashed and burned and killed all our pretty weeds we just said Y'all come back now ya hear sitting there on that sack of seeds" sorry I am a bit eccentric at times. can't help it what can I say im a rebel lol.

I Just started 5 lowryder 2 yesterday but they are just a bumper crop to get started while i find a good mango mother and I will also be getting some good clones possibly burmese kush and some sort of skunk dunno name lol. I get my lumber for my room next friday and I will have it built by monday the latest right in time for the lows to start flowering ^^ I have to seed them of course.

the 400w hps and the 125w cfl you stole from that place, arent you gonna use them? the threat you started seems to of conveniently dissapeared
