making lowryder seeds
Hi guys
Just a quick question I have got a few original lowryders on the go and just found a load of males no females as yet aargh!. Was thinking about doing a seed run. What genetics to the males or females bring to the table? ie: size, growth rate ect Cheers DH |

Males will generally pass on branching structure and growth rate, females usually bud layout/structure and smell, but honestly it's a mix of both. Most people just pick similar looking males/females to breed.

Even if you don't get a female - keep some pollen from the biggest, strongest male.
You can make some beans later with any female herb, then cross 'em again with the male lr. Get your own auto strain - KaliRyder anyone??? |

use asmany different males onto the female asposs, then youll have betterseed diversity and wont bottleneck towards bad lines.

how do you store male pollen and how long will it keep? got 2 batches going one at 3 weeks and another at 1 week def no females in the first batch, so lets hope some in the second if there's no fems in that one am not doing another till at least next year as it is an outdoors grow thanks DH |

you can absorb all the water out of it and freeze it in an air tight container, put aload of dry rice in with pollen and leave it sealed, the rice will take out any moisture from the pollen and it will then be ready for freezing.
please bare in mind this is a ghetto way of storing and wont always garentee your pollen stays viable. |
